One of Crypto’s most popular skin called the “Rising Phoenix” is finally getting a recolor from Respawn.

The recolor will be called “Winter’s Grasp” and it will feature more of a cooler color tone than its original counterpart. Furthermore, the skin will be a polar opposite to the original skins. The skin will likely attract players who prefer light blue color as the skin will be prominently blue and white with some subtle orange highlights.

Reliable Apex Legends data miner Shrugtal on twitter confirmed this news. While previously he mentioned that Respawn was working on that recolor, the release date for this skin was not final. Although now he finally assured that this skin is scheduled to be released in this patch.

Additionally, Respawn is also bringing back the old recolors for the first time ever in the game. With the recent Prowler Skin recolor, it is clear that Respawn is planning on bringing back some of the most sought after skins in the game.

There is still an audience for skins like Wraith’s airship assassin as it is one of the most wanted skins in the game. Since we now know that old recolor is coming back, there is a good chance that we might finally be able to get that skin that we wanted for a long time.

The Head of Respawn Entertainment, Vince Zampella, did claim that they might bring back popular skins in the future. On that note, we are finally witnessing some of our favorite skins making a comeback.
