Riot has unveiled that Vayne, Talon, Galio, and Ashe will receive massive buffs in the upcoming patch 13.6.
Though in League of Legends preseason 2023, we have seen many changes and adjustments. But even after the release of season 13, we are seeing even more changes.
For example, earlier in season 13, we have seen a mini rework for Jax, full CGU for Aurelion Sol, Seraph’s Embrace changes, etc. Furthermore, in the previous patch, 13.5, we experienced Azir and Yuumi reworks. In that patch, we have also seen the jungle being changed for the better since counter-jungling is viable again. And since MSI is on the horizon, Riot can now concentrate on adjusting the game for the pro scene.
Even though Riot has been consistently fixing the game, there are still many glaring flaws. Some of them are bot lane being the most impactful role, the dragon having the highest value out of all objectives, assassins being still one of the weakest classes, etc. However, the upcoming patch might fix some of the issues.
Lead Designer at the Summoner’s Rift team, Riot Phroxzon, recently revealed on Twitter all the upcoming changes of patch 13.6. He announced that Vayne, Talon, Galio, and Ashe would receive significant buffs in the upcoming patch 13.6.

Patch 13.6 Buffs
Vayne Buffs
- Passive movement speed: 30 >>> 45
- Q AD Ratio: 60-80% >>> 75-115%
- Q buff duration: 7s >>> 3s
- W %HP damage: 4-12% >>> 6-10%
Vayne is one of the most recognizable marksmen in the game. And that recognizability comes from her high output of true damage. But she hasn’t received any major updates recently. The last update she received was her base AD growth reduction and mana regeneration increase in the preseason. And before that, it was the durability rework. So he has fallen significantly out of the meta.
Her current win rate is a low 48.56%, and her pick rate is 3.9%. Moreover, since Lethal Tempo will receive a nerf in the upcoming patch, giving her a proper buff is a good idea.
Talon Buffs
- Base mana: 377 >>> 400
- Passive damage: 75-255 >>> 80-280
- W mana cost: 55/60/65/70/75 >>> 50/55/60/65/70
- R damage: 90/135/180 >>> 90/145/200
Besides certain matchups, assassins have been struggling. Because of it, Shadow Assassin Kayn (Blue Kayn), Qiyana, and some other assassins were buffed recently. And Riot isn’t stopping just yet. The next Assassin slated to receive a buff is Talon. Talon has fallen far from grace. In season 10, since Riot buffed his jungle clear speed, he became the best champion in the game. And now he is one of the worst mid-laners in the game.
Talon currently has a 48.26% win rate, below Vayne. His pick rate is also lower than usual, with only 2.5%. Because of it, Talon will also receive significant buffs in patch 13.6.
Galio Buffs
- E Cooldown: 12-8s >>> 11-7s
- W damage reduction: 20-40% (+8% MR) >>> 25-45% (+12% MR)
Galio is the only champion in the list who is not in an unfavorable position. Even in the current patch, Galio still provides a lot of utility, has good CC ability, and can roam, thanks to his ultimate. However, most people are not keen on trying out Galio since other tanks and tanks like Singed, Malphite, and Zac provide even higher value.
Currently, Galio has a respectable 50.51% win rate but a low 1.6%. So we might expect his buffs to be not significantly huge.
Ashe Buffs
- Passive damage: 110% + Crit Chance >>> 115% + Crit Chance.
From the end of the previous season till recently, Ashe has been receiving countless nerfs. And she received these nerfs because she was being played way too frequently as an SP. And playing AD support became the meta outright. And because of her nerfs, not only many people stopped playing her SP, but as an ADC as well. And because of it, similar to Vayne, she also has an atrocious win rate.
In the current meta, Ashe only has a 48.55% win rate and a 4.1% pick rate. And to bring her back to her optimal spot, Riot will be buffing her in patch 13.6.
Release Date
These buffs will hit live servers on patch 13.6, scheduled to release on Wednesday, March 22, 2023.
