Vayne has a myriad of skins in her wardrobe, let’s see which ones fit her the best.

In 2023, we have around 25 marksman champions in League of Legends. But released in 2011, Vayne has always been one of the most iconic and recognizable faces every time Marksman or ADCs come into discussion. Some of the greatest ADCs in history, such as Uzi and Doublelift, have mained her to show just how terrifying this champion can be if played right.

This late-game hyper carry naturally deserves cosmetics befitting her royalty. And Riot has made sure of that by continuously releasing newer skins over the years. The new skins look more polished exemplifying Riot’s evolution through the use of advanced technology with more mature artists.

With that said, let’s explore all the Vayne skins released so far.

How Many Vayne Skins are There in 2023?

As of writing this article, Vayne currently has 15 skins in total. Each skin represents a certain style or theme. Although some of the older skins look not as impressive when you put them up against the newer one, they still retain a lot of artistic value due to the sheer conceptual markings in the designs.

Nowadays, Riot only uses Epic, Legendary, Mythic, and Ultimate tier for their skin categories. But back in the day, they also had 520 RP (Classic), 750 RP (Budget), and 975 RP (Standard) brackets.

  • Timeworn or Classic (520 RP): 2 (Aristocrat Vayne, Vindicator Vayne)
  • Budget or Deluxe (750 RP): 1 (SKT T1 Vayne)
  • Standard or Superior (975 RP): 3 (Dragonslayer Vayne, Arclight Vayne, Heartseeker Vayne)
  • Epic (1350 RP): 4 (Spirit Blossom Vayne, Battle Bat Vayne, Firecracker Vayne, FPX Vayne)
  • Legendary (1820 RP): 2 (PROJECT: Vayne, Sentinel Vayne)
  • Mythic (Mythic Essence): 2 (Soulstealer Vayne, Prestige Firecracker Vayne)
  • Ultimate (3250/2775 RP): 0

LoL Best Vayne Skins

15. Aristocrat Vayne

Aristocrat Vayne
  • Release Date: May 10, 2011
  • Price: 520 RP
  • Chroma: 0

Before we dive deeper into the skin, let us look at the skin’s features first.

  • New Model

Aristocrat Vayne is one of her first skins to be released. The time shows in the model’s outdated design. Some Vayne mains like to use it because of the antique steampunk vibes, but it features no additional elements. Only a new model, not even a VFX update. The base skin looks much better, in my opinion. Overall, it doesn’t offer any additional value other than a new model, and for only that, it doesn’t seem worth spending 520 RP.

14. Vindicator Vayne

Vindicator Vayne
  • Release Date: May 10, 2011
  • Price: 520 RP
  • Chroma: 0

Before we dive deeper into the skin, let us look at the skin’s features first.

  • New Model

Vindicator Vayne was released at the same time as Aristocrat Vayne. And it also shows how aged the design is. But compared to Aristocrat skin, it has a relatively better color palette. Vayne’s face here is more recognizable. And the Gothic background in the splash art gives it a unique identity. However, it also offers no additional thing other than a new model. Therefore, Vindicator Vayne is put just above the Aristocrat skin.

13. SKT T1 Vayne

SKT T1 Vayne
  • Release Date: May 04, 2014
  • Price: 750 RP
  • Chroma: 0

Before we dive deeper into the skin, let us look at the skin’s features first.

  • New Model
  • New Visual Effects

The SKT T1 skin line for 2013 may have a lot of iconic significance, but the designs did not age well. There are no distinctive features in the Vayne skin. Just a basic SKT T1 fashioned outfit and her usual accessories with minimal change. But it’s still above the previous 2 due to new visual effects. Basically, the small and big bolts from her bow during auto, Condemn, and Ultimate have new particles. Not anything awesome, but it’s still something. Get this skin if you are an SKT T1 fan and want to cherish their dynasty.

12. Heartseeker Vayne

Heartseeker Vayne
  • Release Date: February 14, 2012
  • Price: 975 RP
  • Chroma: 0

Before we dive deeper into the skin, let us look at the skin’s features first.

  • New Model for Vayne and her Bow
  • New Visual Effects

Heartseeker Vayne is one of the first skins of the Heartseeker lineup. Just like other skins of that era, it has a pretty low-budget design all around. For example, the love letter she is reading looks cheaply drawn. Her bow design also lacks creativity. It’s clear that they were just using the heart symbol to fit in with the theme. Also, the red and pink colors, although thematic, are overused, and the shades are too aggressive.

The lying Mundo struck by a heart arrow in the background makes for a playful background, though. The Bayonetta-style look might entice some people, though. But other than new particle effects on bolt and heart effects on Tumble, nothing noteworthy is noticeable. But it’s still a better-looking skin than the previous ones mentioned in the list. Nonetheless, there are better skins at that price point.

11. Dragonslayer Vayne

Dragonslayer Vayne

  • Release Date: August 24, 2011
  • Price: 975 RP
  • Chroma: Yes (3 Different Chromas Available)
Dragonslayer Vayne Chromas

All 3 Chromas can be individually purchased at 195 RP. You can get a discount for bundle purchase.

Before we dive deeper into the skin, let us look at the skin’s features first.

  • New Model

Dragonslayer Vayne is a favorite among the One-tricks. It has a really good design overall. Vayne embraces a human-dragon hybrid form in this skin. The head resembling a dragon is especially cool. The color is also very well mixed with different shades used for different parts. The only downside is that the texture looks too old, and the design is not polished to look modern enough. Hence, it’s on the lower side of the list.

10. Battle Bat Vayne

Battle Bat Vayne

  • Release Date: March 31, 2022
  • Price: 1350 RP
  • Chroma: Yes (9 Different Chromas Available)

Among the 9 chromas, Ruby can only be purchased along with the bundle. The Nightwire chroma is even-exclusive. The rest of the chromas are purchasable individually for 165 RP.

Before we dive deeper into the skin, let us look at the skin’s features first.

  • New Model
  • New Animation
  • New VFX
  • New Sound Effects
  • New Recall Animation

Battle Bat Vayne was released as part of the Anima Squad Skinline. In this skin, Vayne is depicted as Anima Squad’s premier intel expert, skilled in infiltrating enemy strongholds with speed and precision. The embellishment due to the use of advanced artistic tools of 2022 shows in the design, unlike the older ones. The skin has a lot of details in each part of her attire, with Bat ears over her head and the crossbow engraved with a cute Bat-shaped figure. Also, the observation that crossbow and bat wings look similar is quite impressive, and it fits so well with Vayne’s overall stylish outfit. However, this skin is ranked 10th simply due to the existence of better ones at the 1350 RP price point.

9. FPX Vayne

FPX Vayne

  • Release Date: April 30, 2020
  • Price: 1350 RP
  • Chroma: Yes (Only One Chroma Available)
FPX Vayne Chroma

FPX Vayne has only 1 chroma, not ownable through regular purchase. It can be obtained by purchasing the huge 100 USD bundle.

Before we dive deeper into the skin, let us look at the skin’s features first.

  • New Model
  • New Animation
  • New VFX (Visual Effects)
  • New Sound Effects
  • New Recall Animation

The FPX (FunPlus Phoenix) Vayne skin was released as part of the commemorative skins celebrating FunPlus Phoenix’s victory in the 2019 League of Legends World Championship. This skin honors the iconic victory of the team and, specifically, the performance of their AD Carry, LWX. I think the Power Ranger style FPX theme suits her really well because she herself is a monster hunter, so it’s so fitting for her to don this attire. The fiery Aura coming off of her bow looks apt with Vayne’s burning passion for hunting the darkness.

However, the helmet looks a bit bland. The model also doesn’t look nearly as good as a 1350 RP skin in-game, other than the FPX recall animation. So get this if you are a fan of the team.

8. Prestige Firecracker Vayne

Prestige Firecracker Vayne
  • Release Date: January 28, 2019
  • Price: Special Price
  • Chroma: No

Before delving into the specifics of the Prestige Edition, let’s outline its key features:

  • New Model with Prestige color scheme
  • Enhanced Animation
  • Upgraded VFX (Visual Effects)
  • Refined Sound Effects
  • Special Recall Animation

I believe that Prestige Edition skins are for people who want to signal some sort of social status. Because, for all intents and purposes, the prestige and the original skin look more or less the same. However, in 2023, some of the prestige skins do look different. But Firecracker Vayne’s Prestige Edition has exactly the same design. The minor change is very minimal, those being the white hair and cloth with a golden accent and a background with sky lanterns. Moreover, its prestige price tag makes it not worth buying for general people like me. That’s why 8 seems like a good spot for this one.

7. Dawnbringer Vayne

Dawnbringer Vayne

  • Release Date: April 20, 2023
  • Price: 1350 RP
  • Chroma: 8
Dawnbringer Vayne Chromas

As usual, the Ruby Chroma is only obtainable with the bundle. It costs 290 RP. The rest of the 7 chromas cost 165 RP each.

Before we dive deeper into the skin, let us look at the skin’s features first.

  • New Model
  • New Animation
  • New VFX (Visual Effects)
  • New Sound Effects
  • New Recall Animation

Dawnbringer vs Nightbringer returned this year as well with a brand new roster. Vayne, due to her predisposition to ward off evil, naturally found herself among the Dawnbringers. The skin has new VFX, SFX, and animation, including new recall.

The skin features her bolt being imbued with radiant energy, leaving a trail of light behind them. While using Final Hour, her attacks explode in a burst of light. The color palette is really beautiful both in the game model and in the splash art. The pinkish hue with purple-blue blends smoothly with her radiant aura, giving off the “Warrior of Light” energy. However, some fans are dissatisfied with the skin because of a lack of differentiating factor. Vayne already has ‘Light’ themed skins, such as Arclight and Sentinel. All these 3 skins fundamentally share the same concept. Hence, it doesn’t feel that unique at the end of the day.

Overall, it’s great skin in a vacuum for how good it looks and feels like. Great buy if you don’t care about original concepts and just want to have a good, fun time.

6. Arclight Vayne

Arclight Vayne
  • Release Date: April 20, 2015
  • Price: 975 RP
  • Chroma: No

Before delving into the details, let’s first look at the key features of the skin:

  • New Model
  • New Animation
  • New VFX (Visual Effects)
  • New Sound Effects
  • New Recall Animation

Arclight Vayne was introduced as part of the ethereal and radiant Arclight skin line. The skin gives off heavenly or ‘celestial’ energy due to the angelic motif drawn partially on her body. The arrow with the glowing golden hue and the armor of the same color gives the Arclight skin completion as Vayne looks like a transformed being of Light.

The animations and VFX have been upgraded to align with the celestial theme, incorporating radiant light effects and golden particles that add a divine aura to her actions. The sound effects are harmonious and ethereal, accompanying the visual upgrades and enhancing the overall experience. A notable feature of the Arclight Vayne skin is the new recall animation, where Vayne ascends gracefully, surrounded by a halo of light, emphasizing her transformation into an avenger of light. For a 975 RP, this skin is a steal. However, this still won’t get the top 5 spot due to simply not being as polished.

5. Firecracker Vayne

Firecracker Vayne
  • Release Date: January 28, 2019
  • Price: 1350 RP
  • Chroma: Yes (Only one Chroma Available)

The Golden Tiger chroma is the only chroma for Firecracker Vayne and can be obtained only during the event.

Before we dive deeper into the skin, let us look at the skin’s features first.

  • New Model
  • New Animation
  • New VFX (Visual Effects)
  • New Sound Effects
  • New Recall Animation

Firecracker Vayne was one of my favorite skins in the game back in 2019 when it was released as a part of the Lunar Revel Festival. The skin has new animation with firecrackers exploding, generating a festive mood. Also, the sound effects of crackles and pops accompany really well with the VFX, as they mimic the firecracker ceremony very well. The skin, with its vibrant and bright colors, stands out from the rest as regular Vayne skins are usually of darker theme and tone. I will put it on 6 for how unique the skin looks.

4. Soulstealer Vayne

Soulstealer Vayne
  • Release Date: July 28, 2016
  • Price: 125 ME when Available
  • Chroma: No

Before we dive deeper into the skin, let us look at the skin’s features first.

  • New Model
  • New Animation
  • New VFX (Visual Effects)
  • New Sound Effects
  • New Recall Animation

Soulstealer Vayne is one of the first Mythic skins in the game. It features a distinct spectral theme, highlighted by its unique visual and sound effects and a captivating recall animation. The skin’s visual effects (VFX) embrace a ghostly aesthetic, with eerie greenish-black hues and shadowy patterns that reinforce her role as a spectral hunter. The accompanying sound effects (SFX) are equally haunting, featuring ethereal and otherworldly tones that enhance the skin’s grim essence. All in all, it’s a great skin that explores the reimagination of Vayne in a spectral soul-hunting theme.

3. Spirit Blossom Vayne

Spirit Blossom Vayne

  • Release Date: July 22, 2020
  • Price: 1350 RP
  • Chroma: Yes (8 Different Chromas Available)

Among the 8 Chromas, the Ruby chroma can be owned through the bundle. And the Night Blossom chroma is loot exclusive. Rest of them can be purchased with 175 RP.

Before we dive deeper into the skin, let us look at the skin’s features first.

  • New Model
  • New Animation
  • New VFX (Visual Effects)
  • New Sound Effects
  • New Recall Animation

Spirit Blossom is one of my favorite skin lines in the game. But even among those lines, Spirit Blossom Vayne stands out for its immaculate beauty in aesthetics. Firstly, the use of purple-blue color looks gorgeous. The bow’s texture is so clean in the splash art. And the blindfolded look of her is really captivating. The skin’s effects are notably striking, with casting abilities leaving a burst of blue butterflies, complementing the blue flames that surround her. These effects are reminiscent of Hitodama or spirit orbs from Japanese folklore. This is a rare example of skins done right all around. Honestly, I wouldn’t mind spending 1820 RP for this beauty. 1350 RP is definitely a steal.

2. Sentinel Vayne

Sentinel Vayne
  • Release Date: July 08, 2021
  • Price: 1820 RP
  • Chroma: Yes (6 Different Chromas Available)
Sentinel Vayne Chromas

Sentinel Vayne has 6 Chromas in total. The Ruby Chroma, as usual, is bundle-exclusive. The Resolute Chrome is an event-exclusive item gotten through event tokens.

Before we dive deeper into the skin, let us look at the skin’s features first.

  • New Model
  • New Animation
  • New VFX
  • New SFX
  • New Voice-over
  • New Recall Animation

Sentinel Vayne was recruited as a member to fight against the Ruination brought about by the Ruined King Viego. Sentinel Vayne had a jaw-dropping entry in one of the event cinematics. This skin has a really unique look with Vayne’s Bob-cut hair and round glasses. The skin features new visual and sound effects, animations, and recall, contributing to its unique appearance and feel.

The VFX includes the crossbow glowing brightly with white light. The bolts fired also gleam in the same fashion. Since the skin line is called the Sentinels of Light, you can see the ambiance of light from her body when initiating Final Hour. New voice lines are also added to meet the requirements of a Legendary skin, complementing the Sentinel theme. This would be my no.1 Vayn

1. PROJECT: Vayne

PROJECT: Vayne
  • Release Date: November 22, 2017
  • Price: 1820 RP
  • Chroma: 0

Before we dive deeper into the skin, let us look at the skin’s features first.

  • New Model
  • New Animation
  • New VFX
  • New SFX
  • New Voice-over
  • New Recall Animation

You probably saw that coming. Project Vayne just deserves the No. 1 place for a plethora of reasons. Firstly, the futuristic motorcycle she gets at the beginning of the game is amazing to move around with. The animation is super clean as well. Then the amazing HUD overlay mask during her Ultimate makes me feel like I am the one hunting.

The skin’s animations have been completely reworked, enhancing her abilities, auto-attacks, idle stances, walking, high-speed running, death, recall, and various emotes. The sound effects are also overwritten with better-sounding auto-attacks and other actions. Moreover, her voice-over becomes increasingly robotic as she levels up, and new quotes are added for specific interactions. This is a benchmark for every Legendary skin in that it does everything right and more.
