Respawn made an annoying weapon attachment change to the game without mentioning anywhere, which is making players furious.
Apex Legends is a live-service title that was released way back in 2019. Since then, the game has undergone a considerable amount of changes. The developers always try to provide new features and updates so the mass player can stay engaged in the game.
Similarly, in Season 16, Respawn made significant changes to the game and pushed tons of new content, including new game modes, cosmetic items, Heirlooms, and more. While the majority of the updates or content that the developers produce is warmly welcomed by the community, some updates continue to be contentious.
In the Sun Squad Collection Event, Respawn released a bunch of new content to the game. The patch notes were also released prior to the official launch of the event. However, after the update went live, players slowly started noticing a very peculiar change that wasn’t mentioned in the patch notes.
Before the update, players could use the right mouse click to switch weapon attachments to the other gun and the left mouse click to remove them. However, without any prior notice, Respawn switched the buttons that now function in the opposite way from what they previously did.

“Useless and Irritating” Attachment Transfer Change
Apex Legends is a highly-skilled battle royale FPS game. A game like this relies heavily on muscle memory. Because of this, players after the update kept removing their weapon attachments when they attempted to transfer them by hitting the right mouse button, with or without knowing what was happening.
In a game like Apex Legends, where every second and decision can make a difference, things like this can cause you to lose a fight or a match. So, naturally, players are quite pissed off with this “useless and irritating” feature that nobody asked for.
While some people are slowly getting used to the changes after repeatedly making the same mistake, most players don’t even know what’s happening.
Players are more annoyed by the overall situation because it wasn’t mentioned anywhere in the patch notes. Moreover, unlike the new Flatline skin, Respawn didn’t clarify the changes later. So, it could also be true that Respawn unintentionally made the change and is unaware of the situation as of now.
