Back in 2019, Respawn Entertainment released Apex Legends instead of the threequel of the much-beloved Titanfall series.
As battle royale games were all the rage back in those days, this move from Respawn Entertainment seemed very obvious. While the success of Apex Legends blew everyone’s expectation, there were still a handful of Titanfall fans that were really disappointed as they wanted Titanfall 3.

Furthermore, many of the devs at Respawn later confirmed that they were no longer working on Titanfall 3. Instead, they decided to redirect all of their resources on Apex Legends since it really blew up.
Titanfall 3 might be a reality:
However, as it turns out, Titanfall 3 might not be completely dead as one of the reliable Apex Legends insider claimed there is a strong rumor going around that Titanfall 3 might actually be real. Additionally, one of the data miners on Apex legends also confirmed this absurd theory.
According to the insider, there are now multiple different sources that are pointing towards the same rumor. Even though it is just a rumor, the mere possibility of Respawn making another Titanfall game really hyped up the whole Titanfall fanbase. One example would be a few days ago where one of the dev revealed some old Titanfall 1 single-player mission footage and it really blew up.
At the same time, Apex Legends players are also thrilled with the news of a new Titanfall game as it is in the same universe. And there is a good chance that some of the characters in Apex Legends might make some sort of cameo in the next rumored Titanfall game.
