The permanently charged Rampage and Sentinel bug is wreaking havoc in Apex Legends’ ranked mode. And a Respawn developer has finally responded to these game-breaking bugs.

Apex Legends’ ranked mode was added to the game back in season 2 to give players the taste of competitive BR. However, hackers and exploiters have made the experience worse for many. While blatant cheats are annoying to deal with, a new weapon exploit has made the game unplayable for many.

Many big-name streamers and content creators have decided to take a break from the game due to the infinite charge Rampage and Sentinel exploit. This exploit gives Rampage and Sentinel users an infinite charge, and these players have been constantly spamming the server with these exploits.

As most of the devs at Respawn are on holiday, it is usual to see a spike in game-breaking bugs and cheaters in the game during the holiday break. Following many complaints from the player base, some of the devs even responded to the players while on vacation.

Respawn temporarily removed Rampage and Sentinel from the game.

A fix is on the Way

John Larson, the Live Balance Designer at Respawn, assured the players that they are well aware of the current state of the game. As such, Hideout, who is responsible for the security at Respawn, is banning players who are abusing these exploits before Respawn drops an official hotfix.

Until then, it is advised not to abuse any known game-breaking bugs to avoid being at the receiving end of the ban hammer. Apex Legends’ ranked mode has been a pain point for the Apex community as multiple unwanted disruptions like cheaters, hackers, & server-related issues made the experience unpleasant for many.

That being said, expect the ranked mode to go somewhat back to normal, as the devs will be back from the holiday soon.
