Learn all you need to know where Star Wars Jedi: Survivor lands on the Star Wars timeline.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is a single-player, third-person action-adventure game developed by Respawn Entertainment. You will take on the role of Cal Kestis, one of the last remaining Jedi, roaming in the galaxy. The game incorporates Metroidvania-level design and elements of the “Souls-like” genre that gradually builds up Cal Kestis’s character.
As it remains as a self-contained story, it makes it pretty hard to place it in the larger Star Wars timeline. In general, the Star Wars timeline is divided into two periods: Before the Battle of Yavin (BBY) and After the Battle of Yavin (ABY). It marks the Rebel Alliance’s first significant victory against the Empire. This Battle of Yavin essentially reset the galactic calendars, with everything before it being considered BBY and everything afterward being ABY.

When Do Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Takes Place in the Timeline?
First things first, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order takes place five years after Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith, which is during 14 BBY. Cal Kestis is on the run after Order 66 resulted in the extermination of most Jedi.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is set around nine years BBY, placing it between the prequel and original trilogy. The game’s timeline is around the same time as Obi-Wan Kenobi and Andor. Better you learn a bit about them from the films or the books.
General Kenobi…!

You get it right, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor takes place in the same year as Obi-Wan Kenobi, which is 9 BBY. This is when the Empire is at its peak, and the Jedi are on the brink of extinction. However, it is highly unlikely that Obi-Wan will appear in the game, nevertheless any Easter Egg. This provides a clear context to what is happening in the rest of the universe.
Darth Vader and his Inquisitors are on the hunt for the remaining Jedi. However, they have another objective on their hand, tracking down Anakin Skywalker’s former master. This could allow Cal and his team to take more aggressive action against the Empire, which we are eagerly waiting to see in the next installment.
Solo: Another Star Wars Story

The movie Solo: A Star Wars Story is set in 10 BBY, a year before the events of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. In the same year, Princess Leia Organa is kidnapped. Obi-Wan Kenobi is assisting Senator Bail Organa. Additionally, in an alternate universe, legendary smuggler Dash Rendar joined the Imperial Academy in the same year.
Star Wars Rebels Story

The Story of the Rebels is another adaptation in the franchise set in the same period as Jedi: Survivor. A group of insurgents is being led by former Jedi Knight Kanan Jarrus and his new Padawan Ezra Bridger. Four years after the events of Jedi: Survivor, during 5 BBY, Cassian Andor is recruited by Luthen Rael, starting the events of Andor, and Ezra Bridger joins the Spectres. And that is the beginning of Star Wars Rebels.
Beyond that, A New Hope takes place five years later, Return of the Jedi in 4 ABY, and The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett take place in 9 ABY. However, it is also in the mist whether Cal Kestis meet Din Djarin or not. However, there is a chance of crossing the path in the near future.
The Epilogue of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor

The Mantis crew mourns the loss of their loved ones and the loyal droids. Cal, Merrin, Greez, and BD-1 witness the traditional Jedi funeral pyre burning for Cere, Cordova, and Bode on Tanalorr. As they bid their final goodbyes, we see a vision of Cere appearing to Cal through the Force. The phantom leaves him with his new responsibilities.
While Cal still grieves, he finds solace in honoring Cere’s last wish. It’s a testament to their strength and resilience that they continue to fight for their beliefs, even in the face of loss and uncertainty.
However, the ending gameplay of Star Wars Jedi Survivor will allow you to continue exploring the galaxy, taking on side missions, and hunting bounty hunters while Greez sets up a base on Tanalorr. And I personally wanted some final scenes between Cal and Merrin.
