Riot Games has been teasing us with their next agent in VALORANT with clues scattered throughout the maps and the training range.
VALORANT is Riot Games’ foray into the highly competitive first-person tactical shooter genre of games. Despite solid competition from CS:GO and Overwatch, Riot Games managed to garner a dedicated player base consisting of players from different FPS games.
Riot Games introduces new agents, maps, skins, and more to help with player retention, like other free-to-play live service games. While Riot Games has announced that there will be no new agent added to the current agent pool until Episode 4 Act 3, they have already started to tease regarding their upcoming agent.

With the help of Episode 4 Act 2 battle pass player cards and in-game clues, we have come up with a more clear picture of who this upcoming agent might be and how this new agent will affect the current agent meta.
Fade Teasers
It’s been a tradition for the dev team at this point to tease upcoming agents in the seasonal battle passes. So, we don’t have to look elsewhere to figure out who will join the current roster. In the battle pass, there are two player cards that look suspicious.
The first player card showcased above showcases an eye. And the subsequent player card gives players a glimpse into an unknown character besides Reyna carrying a Vandal.
On top of that, Brimstone’s office in the VALORANT’s training range has messages from an unknown figure threatening Brimstone with each member’s personal information of the VALORANT protocol. If Brimstone cannot prove his innocence, they will hand over data to the public.
Following this threat from this unknown hacker, Brimstone calls out a strike team featuring Sova, Neon, Chamber, Breach, Cypher, Kay/0 to deal with the situation.
Breach’s board can be seen filled with details surrounding the mission in the training range. Unfortunately, the mission fell short of expectation, and they couldn’t find out who this mysterious figure was.
After the mission fell through, the anonymous hacker reached Brimstone again to let him know not to test the limits of their patience. The hacker later threatens to release personal details of the current members of the VALORANT protocol, claiming it to be just the beginning.
Later, personal information of VALORANT agents can be seen scattered throughout the maps.
