A new bug with the VALORANT agent Astra is allowing players to buy weapons like Marshal, Stinger, or Bucky during Pistol Round.
Riot Games released the VALORANT v4.04 update on 1st March 2022. This update introduced the new Episode 4 Act 2 Battle Pass. Riot also made adjustments to all the controller agents in the game. Both the Icebox and Ascent maps were also tweaked.
Astra is one of the controllers that got nerfed during the VALORANT v4.04 update. This new update reduced Astra’s stars from 5 to 4. Additionally, all of her abilities now have increased cooldown. But her astral form received some buffs allowing her to place stars all over the map more effectively.
One other buff came to Astra in the form of refunding stars. Before the start of a round, Astra can call back her placed stars and refund them. This is causing a bug and allowing Astra players to buy weapons like the Marshal, Stinger, and bucky during the pistol round. This is a problem because during the first round all players are given enough money to buy only pistols.
“Astra can now pick up placed Stars during the Buy Phase to refund their charge immediately.”

VALORANT v4.04 Astra Bug:
Following the release of the VALORANT v4.04 update, players suddenly discovered a strange bug while playing Astra. They noticed that at the start of the first round Astra players can place a star, call it back and refund it. This gives them enough money to buy either the Marshal, Stinger, or the Bucky.
The official VALORANT Twitter account quickly responded to this Astra bug and announced that they are working on a fix. Until Riot finds a fix for this bug, Astra will remain disabled from the VALORANT Competitive queue. The Tweet reads,
“Astra shouldn’t be able to sell her starting star—it’s priceless. This is a bug and we are removing her from Competitive queue for now, with the hopes of getting a fix in later today.”
