We finally have an official look at VALORANT’s 18th agent “Chamber”. According to Riot, he will an ideal candidate to mechanically outplay your opponents.
Riot Games, entered the competitive tactical shooter genre of video games with VALORANT. Instead of being another boring tactical shooter, Riot embedded hero shooter mechanics into it to shake things up.
While VALORANT already has a quite diverse roster of agents, Riot intends to add at least six new agents per year. These agents usually get released alongside new ACTs which is basically a new season for VALORANT.
And looks like Riot Games opted to introduce a Sentinel agent to the current lineup. The new agent is called Chamber and based on his abilities so far, he will be a gift for players with really good mechanics.
First Look at Chamber
Based on the official reveal trailer, Chamber seems to be a really well-dressed man with a french accent. Meaning we finally have someone representing France in VALORANT. Apparently, this agent’s internal nickname was deadeye during developement, according to data miners.
- Trademark: PLACE a trap that scans for enemies. When a visible enemy comes in range, the trap counts down and then destabilizes the terrain around them, creating a lingering field that slows players caught inside of it.
- Headhunter: ACTIVATE to equip a heavy pistol. ALT FIRE with the pistol equipped to aim down sights.
- Rendezvous: PLACE two teleport anchors. While on the ground and in range of an anchor, REACTIVATE to quickly teleport to the other anchor. Anchors can be picked up to be REDEPLOYED.
- Tour de Force: ACTIVATE to summon a powerful, custom sniper rifle that will kill an enemy with any direct hit. Killing an enemy creates a lingering field that slows players caught inside of it.
Based on all the official reveal so far, it seems like most of Chamber’s abilities provide him with additional firepower. For example, his Headhunter ability gives the ability to aim down sight while using pistols. Even his ultimate ability “Tour de Force” seems like a pocket Operator based on all official descriptions.
Aside from these two abilities, his Trademark ability will be perfect to detect early flanks while his teleporting ability called “Rendezvous” will grant him the upper hand while flanking his opposition. The agent meta will be heavily impacted by his debut on Episode 3 Act 3.
We don’t have any new information regarding his origin, as of writing.
Chamber Release Date:
Respawn has delayed the release of Chamber by two weeks. Meaning he will make his official debut alongside VALORANT patch 3.10. Although the exact date has not been revealed yet.
