After a lot of speculations, it is pretty much confirmed that the masked assassin who refuses to die is Yasuo’s brother Yone.
Ever since Riot Games introduced a new video titling “Champions in Season 2020” where they mentioned a masked champion who refuses to die, League players started to make many speculations. There were many theories but the most logical one was the masked champion being Yone. A couple of months earlier Riot even teased an easter egg where they showed the Yone’s sword as well.
And now on the Spirit Blossom Thresh’s SkinSpotlights video, players found two voice lines where Thresh interacts with Yone. In the first line, Thresh says to Yone, “Worry not Yone, your little brother is safe with me too.”
And Thresh’s second voice line clearly suggests that Yone is somehow back from being dead as he says, “How you could possibly rest in peace?” On top of that, League of Legends players has also found Yone in the Spirit Blossom Thresh’s skin file as well.
Yone has already made an appearance in Riot Games’ other title Legends of Runeterra where he has multiple interactions with his brother Yasuo.
In the 2020 champion roadmap, Riot announced that they will be releasing two champions in the upcoming summer event a dreamy jungler, a masked assassin. Earlier today, Riot has already revealed what the dreamy jungler Lillia looks like and her abilities. And with these new leaks coming in, players are pretty much convinced that the masked assassin with a split personality is going to be Yone.
Spirit Blossom Yone’s leaked Skin Splash
On twitter, a leaker named JumaraloHexCore has leaked the possible Yone’s Spirit Blossom skin splash art. Although Riot Games has already introduced Spirit Blossom skin for Yasuo, Lillia, Thresh, Teemo, and Vayne, the rumors say there will be 18 new skins in this new event.
Riot Games has not revealed anything official regarding Yone yet, but based on leaks it is very likely that the masked assassin is Yone and we can expect to see his teaser very soon.
