Sons of The Forest is the sequel to The Forest. Just like the previous game, this one is also a survival adventure where you are stranded on the island. However, unlike last time, you will be playing as a soldier this time. So you will be more equipped and skilled to take on various threats the island has to offer.

Sons of The Forest, just like the previous game, gives you the option to play single-player or multiplayer. Hosting a server becomes an important function for anyone who wants to play the game with their friends. So here is everything you need to know about hosting a server in Sons of The Forest.

Hosting a Server in Sons of The Forest

You can host a server to play Sons of The Forest with your friends. It is pretty easy to do too. When you open the game, you will have a few options on the screen. Single-player and multiplayer are two options you can find in this main menu. For hosting the server, follow these steps:

  • Click on the Multiplayer option.
  • Select to Host a server.
  • On the hosting page, set up the player count, password, and name.
  • Make sure you have selected the private server and turned on the friends-only settings if you want to play with friends only.

Now you can share the password and server name with your friends or invite them to join your server. That way you can play with your friends and enjoy the game together.
