New information about the upcoming Prestige Skins has just been revealed.
Prestige skins, which were introduced in 2019, are among the most difficult to get in League of Legends. They are unique skins that, unlike most skins in the game, cannot be purchased using Riot’s currency, RP. Most of the prestige skins are improved versions of current skins with unique visual effects, particle animations, and even new character models.
That said, before the introduction of Prestige 2.0, the quality of the skins was not up to par with Riot’s newer skins. They were essentially a glorified Golden Chroma that was pretty expensive and hard to get. However, Riot updated the system in 2022, releasing Prestige 2.0 skins alongside the Mythic Content Overhaul.
Since then, the quality of the Prestige skins has drastically improved, and Riot has released some fantastic prestige skins. This year alone, they have released six prestige skins. And according to Riot, seven more are on the way.
