Redeemed Star Guardian Xayah & Rakan will thankfully not be part of the Gacha Exploration.
The Star Guardian skin line is a series of alternate-universe skins that reimagines League of Legends champions as High School students who use their magical powers to fight the forces of darkness. It is inspired by the Japanese “Magical Girl” genre and borrows some dark elements from the “Puella Magi Madoka Magica” series.
It is a very popular skin line that debuted back in 2015 with Star Guardian Lux. Since then, the skin line has produced some fantastic skins, such as Star Guardian Fiddlesticks, Star Guardian Ahri, Star Guardian Xayah, Star Guardian Jinx, etc. It has become so popular that Riot has created Star Guardian skins for their other games.
Last year, Riot released five Wild Rift-exclusive Star Guardian skins. These skins were Star Guardian Oriana, Star Guardian Seraphine, Star Guardian Senna, Redeemed Star Guardian Xayah, and Redeemed Star Guardian Rakan. They were so popular that Riot decided to port these skins to League of Legends.
Star Guardian Oriana, Star Guardian Seraphine, and Star Guardian Senna were released earlier this year, and only the lover’s duo remains. But with the recent Gacha controversy, players are concerned about these skins.
However, Riot recently came out and addressed some of the concerns.

Concerns Regarding Redeemed Star Guardian Xayah & Rakan
The Redeemed Star Guardian Xayah & Rakan skins were two of the most anticipated skins of the year. After their announcement, players were excitedly waiting for their release. But the excitement turned into concern when the Gacha controversy started.
The Gacha controversy revolves around the newly announced Dark Cosmic Erasure Jhin. It’s essentially a chroma for Dark Cosmic Jhin skin that Riot is selling for an absurd price. To obtain the skin, players are required to open 200$ worth of Cosmic Erasure 2023 Capsules.
Due to such blatant cash-grab tactics, Riot received tons of backlash from the community. But even after the backlash, Riot refused to remove the Gacha system. Moreover, Riot eluded to the fact that skins like these might be released in the future.
So naturally, players were concerned and assumed that Riot might use the same tactic for Redeemed Star Guardian Xayah & Rakan. But recently, Riot Brightmoon announced that that would not be the case. He stated that it would not be a part of Riot’s new Gacha Exploration.
