Riot is finally adding the item shop scaling feature in League of Legends after the preseason changes.

In the 2021 preseason patch, Riot brought some significant changes to the items and gave the item shop an entirely new look. The Recommended page in the item shop has been completely remade while the All Items and Item Sets tabs have been improved as well.

With all the new changes pushed into one patch, players are currently having a hard time figuring out the item look and adjusting to the new interface. On top of all these issues, a lot of long time players are also complaining that they feel the item shop is way too big for them and requesting Riot to make it resizable like the previous shop.

And apparently, it seems Riot has already listened as League of Legends’ lead gameplay designer Mark “Scruffy” Yetter has confirmed on the latest dev post that Shop Scaling is coming very soon.

“We’re currently working on the ability to scale the shop up and down to match each player’s preferences,” Riot Scruffy on item shop resize feature. “This should be available in the next few patches.”

In addition to that, Riot has also confirmed that they are also working on a feature to add more advanced scaling options like scaling the item icons specifically in the all item view.

Riot hasn’t announced when the item shop scaling is coming to League of Legends yet but the item icons clarity issue is going to be addressed in patch 10.24.
