Immortal Journey Kayle has had some slight changes after the Community outrage.

Riot has been releasing skins every patch in League of Legends. Part of the philosophy is adding more skins for different champions. Also, introducing more thematics into the game and tying them to events like MSI 2023 Inkshadow or Soul Fighters for Summer event.

However, it is not all sunshine and roses as controversy brews on this front. While Riot adds more skins, the community is starting to regard it as more of a cash grab. A lot of the skins look similar, especially in certain thematics. This case has popped up once again for the Immortal Journey skin line.

Immortal Journey Kayle is the skin embroiled in controversy as it looks similar to Lunar Empress Ashe. In these skins, based on Chinese Mythology, the female characters look very similar. However, in this case, it looked uncannily similar.

Thus, the community had much to say about it, and Riot has made some changes. Here is what they did to the Immortal Kayle skin.

Immortal Kayle Skin Changes

As per this Reddit post, some slight changes have been made to both the Icon and skin model.

Starting with the Icon, there were some small changes made. They are as follows.

  • Mark on the head is removed
  • Earring changed
  • Hairstyle was changed to look different

All these changes are reflected in the skin model as well. While Riot making changes is positive, the adjustments are not that significant. So, the skin still looks similar to Lunar Empress Ashe. This is probably due to Riot sticking to what they want to be seen.

Most of the female characters’ facial structures look similar in these theme of skins. So, this problem will constantly pop up until Riot decides to make some big changes. We will have to see how this pans out.
