Respawn just banned Apex Legends players in a new ban wave for abusing some exploits in Apex Legends in order to get some free wins or in some cases getting more RP in the ranked mode.
All of this started when some Apex Legends players stumbled upon an exploit/bug that let them get under the maps. Since players can’t really shoot through floors in the game, these abusers got some free wins.
Furthermore, some PS4 players figured out an exploit that lets them rejoin a ranked match even after they getting killed for some easy bonus RP. Respawn recently added the ability to rejoin a ranked match in case some players get disconnected during an important session. And apparently some PS4 players were abusing this feature knowingly to gain some extra RP.
Respawn bans players for using exploits:
Respawn finally caught up to what these players were doing and gave them some unfiltered justice. Basically, Respawn banned players who were abusing the map and rejoin exploits in the game to gain some unfair advantage over their opponents.
Besides, this is not the first time Respawn took the matter into their own hands when players exploit bugs in the game to crash servers or in this case rejoin a ranked match even after getting squad wiped. The security team at Respawn took some swift action against these abusers and banned them from the game.

Therefore, it is always a good practice to not exploit a bug in a game knowingly to get an edge over your opponents. Even though it is not blatant cheating like aim lock or radar hack, using exploits knowingly in a ranked game can still get players banned from the game.
