Ubisoft has released a new teaser image for Rainbow Six Siege, hinting at something big coming this week.

The teaser image was shared on the official R6: Siege Twitter account earlier today, with a caption that reads: “We scoured the Earth, looking for salvation.”

On top of a green background, the image highlights the date: May 4th, 2021, which most probably is the release date for the next big seasonal event.

According to previous leaks from benjaminstrike, the new event will be called “Apocalypse“. This Y6S1 Crimson Heist event will be played in a modified version of the Outback map. As the description suggests, the attackers and defenders will be fighting over a container while they also try to eliminate each other. The updated Outback map will even include rooms with built-in alarm systems to expose the defenders.

New leaked footage shared on Reddit shows a glimpse of this new Outback look set in a Nuclear Power Plant area. See the short clip below:

Rainbow Six Siege Twitter account even changed their banner and profile picture to set up for this special game mode. While we can guess right now that the May 4 event will indeed be ‘Apocalypse’, we’ll still have to wait for Ubisoft’s official announcement. So stay tuned for the latest updates.
