Pokemon Scarlet and Violet features several new mechanics. We already have talked about how the Auto Healing system works. The new in-game mechanics do not stop at that. There are still a lot of wonders to know about in this new installment.
Say, you have been on the field on and on for hours and just cannot keep up anymore. You want to take some rest. What you can do is, send your Pokemon to find their own battle while you take some hours behind the cookie jar. This makes your life easier and less hassle, and maybe you can find some quality time to touch some beautiful grass out there. Scroll down to learn more about this.

How Auto Battle Works in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet
Long story short, Auto Battle cuts down your grinding time. Means, you do not have to watch those long battle clips over and over. You can simply command your Pokemon to be Dora the Explorer and get what they need by themselves. Basically, set them loose with a long rope tied to them. Yes, they will be under control.
So, send them to explore the region of Paldea. They will surely return with XPs and goodies. The battles will be endless. And your Pokemon will fight till its last breath. Means, they won’t be able to stand against a new opponent until completely healed.
A couple of things to keep in mind, before sending your suicide squad, your Pokemon level must be higher than the stray Pokemon they are gonna meet. Otherwise, the opponent will dominate the match without a doubt. And if you win a battle, your active Pokemon will get some XP. However, the rest of the team will also get some of that, and by some of that means, half of that.
And to let you know another thing, you cannot catch a Pokemon while being in this free-roam mode. All you can do is, farm XP, but you cannot farm another Pokemon. And that is how this mechanic works.
How to Use Auto Battle
All you have to do is, press R to send your topmost bully to the battlefield. As mentioned, some factors will be the deciding ones, while the in-game mechanics calls the winner. There have been multiple reports on sending the Water-type to fight an Electric-type. Legend says the Water-type got back with its tail that had been in between the legs. Right, where were we?
