Kai’sa will be getting another Prestige skin 2020 and a lot of fans are certainly not happy with Riot Games.

Ever since her release on March 7th, 2018, Kai’sa became one of the most popular champions in League of Legends. Her popularity reflected in her skins as well. As in just two years, Kai’sa already has four skins and a Prestige edition skin. And a couple of days ago, on a dev post, Riot announced that they will be releasing another Prestige Kai’sa skin in 2020.

“It was much harder to unlock than today’s Event Prestige skins, and there wasn’t yet clarity around what Prestige was or how Prestige and Event Passes worked,” Riot said regarding the 2018 K/DA Kai’Sa Prestige Edition skin. “While this won’t be a re-release of Kai’Sa’s 2018 Prestige, we hope a second Prestige gives Kai’Sa mains who missed the 2018 Prestige skin a fresh shot at earning something exclusive for their champ.”

And ever since the announcement on her second Prestige skin, Riot is now getting quite a bit of backlash from the League community.

Reddit user u/InhumaneWarfare said on a post, “Kai’Sa getting a second prestige skin faster than some champions get a regular skin is insane.” And replying to the thread many fans are calling out Riot for only prioritizing “money-making” champions. Some fans have also pointed out how some popular champions like Kai’sa and Irelia are getting five skins in two years just because of their high popularity.

And not to mention with the upcoming Spirit Blossom Yasuo skin coming in and his own prestige skin announcement, Yasuo will now be joining in with Kai’sa and Irelia for having five skins in just two years.

Fans have been complaining to Riot Games why some champions have so many skins while champion like Skarner hasn’t received any skins in five years in the past as well. And Riot did explain this issue a couple of months earlier where they said, “We often prioritize skins for our most popular champions, like Lux and Kai’Sa, because they reach a huge number of players.”

After all this criticism it is very unlikely that Riot will release Prestige Kai’sa skin this year. But a lot of players also think even if they cancel Prestige Kai’sa skin, they will not replace her place with some unpopular champions. However, we have to admit that with all these new skins coming in every month, Riot is doing a great job giving skins to champions who have not got any skin in a long time.
