Moreover, you must also ensure your team’s equipped with the finest gear to hold up their own against challenging foes. That includes buying and equipping them with the finest armor, accessories, guns, and primary weapons.

That’s right, you’re in charge of purchasing the gears of all eight party members and your own, and all of it comes out of your own personal funds. After all, Shadows get more powerful as you progress through the story and reach the depths of Mementos. So, as their leader, it is your duty to keep everyone in tip-top shape and have the highest level of defense.

Moreover, it is also imperative to have health and revival items like Takemi’s medicines and food in your inventory to heal up as you go. And all of these can cost quite a fortune. The money you earn by defeating Shadows and selling treasures and sooty gears is often not enough to cover your Phantom Thieves’ expenses.

With that said, grinding for money in Palaces and Mementos is especially difficult in the early game. That’s why, like any other normal person, Joker too must have a side hustle and earn money through part-time jobs.

However, it’s not just about money. As you may already know, Persona 5 Royal has a Social Stats system that you must level up to form contracts with Confidants. And doing different part-time jobs boosts certain Social Stats – allowing you to kill two birds with one stone. But, that’s not all. Going to different part-time jobs will sometimes unlock secret Mementos Requests or a new Confidant.

Luckily, in Persona 5 Royal, you will have plenty of part-time job opportunities with flexible working days. This guide will list all the part-time jobs you can take up in Persona 5 Royal, along with their pay and other benefits.

How do Part-Time Jobs Work in P5R

Part-time jobs in Persona 5 Royal are flexible because attendance is not mandatory like in school. Once you take up a part-time job of your liking, you can attend any day based on the designated job hours. As such, you will get paid on a day-basis. While most jobs can be done during the Daytime or after school, some explicitly require you to work in the Evening.

Like every other activity in Persona 5 Royal, attending your part-time job will cause the time to pass. However, you’ll be able to raise your social stats and earn money. Some part-time jobs also have random special events where you may have to remember orders correctly.

Providing the best service without making any mistakes in your orders will give you an additional bonus Stat point as well as money. Furthermore, there will be days when your employers will contact you to work during busy shifts. Showing up to work on such short notice will reward you with higher pay.

How to Apply for Part-Time Jobs in P5R

The first step in joining a part-time gig is to apply for the position. Luckily, Part-time jobs are not a missable feature in Persona 5 Royal. However, you must wait until 4/18 to unlock this feature. As you walk to school on 4/18, you will overhear two students talking about getting part-time jobs. This will result in Morgana pushing you into applying for one yourself.

You can get information about part-time jobs by checking the job listings posted in the job brochure stands spread across Shibuya’s Underground Walkway. Simply walk up to one of the “Best Work” magazine stands and interact with it to check out all the job listings.

However, not all of the part-time jobs will be available from 4/18, as some require working at night. Not only that, a secret part-time job in Persona 5 Royal can only be accessed by forming a Confidant contract.

There are four main part-time gigs you can take up in Persona 5 Royal.

P5R Convenience Store Part-Time Job (777)

• Establishment Name: Triple Seven Convenience Store
• Unlock Date: 4/18
• Location: Central Street, Shibuya
• Availability: Daytime
• Requirements: None
• Salary:
  • 3,500 yen (Base pay)
  • 7,400 yen (Busy Shift)

  • +3 Charm (if you guess the barcode location correctly)
• Additional Rewards: Only awarded for working on dates with 7 in them
• Mementos Request: Calling for Justice for Cats

While working at the convenience store, your supervisor may sometimes quiz you regarding the location of barcodes on different items. Answering them correctly will raise your charm by +1 point. Moreover, your Confidants will sometimes drop by the convenience store and approach you when they see you working. Conversing with them will increase their Confidant bond by +1 point.

P5R Flower Shop Part-Time Job (Rafflesia)

• Availability: Daytime + Evening

Working at the Rafflesia flower shop involves taking customers’ orders and preparing bouquets based on their descriptions. You’ll be awarded +3 Kindness and bonus pay if you select the right flowers. You should purchase and read the Flowerpedia book from Central Street Bookstore to unlock flower descriptions that will help you please more clients. P5R Beef Bowl Shop Part-Time Job (Ore no Beko)

• Establishment Name: Ore no Beko
• Unlock Date: 5/6
• Location: Central Street, Shibuya
• Availability: Evening
• Requirements: Rank 2 Proficiency
• Salary:
  • 3,600 yen (Base pay)
  • 8,800 yen (Busy Shift)
• Social Stat Bonus:
  • +2 Proficiency,
  • +3 Proficiency (if all orders are served correctly)
• Additional Rewards: Only awarded for working on dates 2 and 9 in them

On special occasions, you will have to remember the orders of four customers and serve their food correctly to get a bonus payment of 8800 yen. These orders are generally random, so there is no surefire way of knowing which is the right order list. However, you can check the orders and make a mental note by opening the Log history. Remember that the Log becomes inaccessible once Morgana asks you about the order serial.

P5R Crossroads Bar Part-Time Job

Unlike the other three establishments, you can only get a part-time job at Crossroads bar by speaking to Lala-chan when you have the right level of Social Stats. You will meet Lala-chan when you form a Confidant contract with Ohya. The pay at Crossroads is substantially higher than the other part-time gigs in Persona 5 Royal. And speaking to different customers will boost different Social Stats.
