There’s no greater force than the power of friendship in JRPGs. So, here’s how to reach Max Rank on all your Confidants’ bonds in Persona 5 Royal.

Persona 5 Royal is the definitive version of Atlus’s hit turn-based action JRPG, Persona 5. The story follows the protagonist (codename: Joker), who discovers the power of Persona and becomes the leader of the Phantom Thieves of Hearts.

As the leader of the Phantom Thieves, you have to devise grand heists and work with your allies to change the hearts of corrupt individuals, all so that they repent and confess their crimes to the world on their own. When you first move to Tokyo, you’ll have very little support and be scrutinized by everyone in your surroundings – including your guardian, Sojiro.

How to Max Rank All Confidants in P5R

Most of the Confidant bonds can be ranked up by frequently meeting with them at their designated spots and selecting the right dialogues during their hangout events.

However, certain confidants are exceptions as their relationship is either automatically ranked up as part of the main story (e.g., Morgana, Sae Nijima, Igor) or requires obtaining certain personas (i.e., Caroline and Justine).

Except for the aforementioned characters, you still need to make sure to use the right words around the other Confidants. Here’s how to reach a Max Rank on all your core Confidant relationships in Persona 5 Royal.

Ryuji Sakamoto (Chariot)

Ryuji is the former star of Shujin Academy’s track team who resigned from the club due to a leg injury. After arriving in Tokyo, he becomes your first friend and loyal comrade. Since he is a party member, ranking up his Confidant level will unlock the following battle abilities:
