Firstly, your Confidants are your comrades. Being the leader of the Phantom Thieves, it’s of paramount importance that your allies see you as the role model they wish to support. If you deepen your bond with party members, they can perform additional support moves in battle, some of which can turn the tide of the fight entirely!
Secondly, you’ll meet plenty of people outside your Phantom Thieves circle, and they all have their own unique stories to share, making Persona 5 Royal a truly immersive experience. Facing challenges together and learning the stories of complex characters will help facilitate your growth by raising your social stats.
Thirdly, every Confidant in Persona 5 Royal represents an Arcana. Throughout your progress in Palaces and Mementos, you’ll obtain Personas belonging to various Arcanas. Having a Confidant of the same Arcana as the Personas in your arsenal will allow them to level up faster and yield you bonus stat boosts during Persona Fusions, along with additional skills.
