The ranked system has been tweaked and modified several times throughout Apex Legends’ lifetime. The most significant adjustment occurred with the Season 13 ranked rework. Many minor to substantial changes were made to the new ranked system.
The changed ranked mode affected players in different ways. Some players voiced their displeasure with the Season 13 system, while others defended it. Like many others, NRG Aceu also voiced his opinion in his recent Twitch stream.

Aceu’s Thoughts on Season 13 Ranked System
Season 13 of Apex Legends is now in progress and has arguably seen the most significant shift in the rank system to date. The new system has changed how people play ranked matches in general.
While players like TSM FTX Imperialhal and TSM FTX Albralelie have shown a positive vibe toward the reworked ranked system, NRG Aceu, on the other hand, has a different opinion. In his recent Twitch stream, he expressed his sentiment regarding the new ranked system in Apex Legends.
He says that the new ranked system is just quite boring because now people only need to play the late game and sit AFK for the rest of the game, and if they don’t do that, they get punished for it. So, players just sit still for 15 to 18 minutes, and the actions happen only for about 2 minutes in the late game.
There has been both positive and negative feedback from different skilled players about the new ranked change in Season 13. So, it will be interesting to see if Respawn will make any fine adjustments to the ranked system in the upcoming split or season.
