Riot Games is replacing Ravenous Hunter with a new rune called Treasure Hunter.
Ever since Runes Reforged was introduced in League of Legends back in Season 8, it became an essential element for every player with having a wide variety of customizations. However, like others aspects of the game, Runes Reforged has also undergone multiple buffs, nerfs, and reworks. And most recent one is the Inspiration rune tree rework in Season 12, where Riot changed Glacial Augment and added a new rune — First Strike.
It seems Riot is not over with Runes in Season 12 just yet. In the upcoming patch 12.6 PBE, Riot has removed Ravenous Hunter from the Domination tree and replaced it with a new rune called “Treasure Hunter.”
While Ravenous Hunter was giving omnivamp, Treasure Hunter will provide players with additional gold for unique takedowns.
Treasure Hunter
- Effect:
- Gain an additional 70 gold the next time you collect a Bounty Hunter stack. Increase the gold gained by 20 gold for each Bounty Hunter stack, up to 150 gold. Bounty Hunter stacks are earned the first time you get a takedown on each enemy champion.
According to League of Legends’ Associate Game Designer, Riot TheTruexy, Treasure Hunter has a 70 base gold and can give +20g per kill. And players can earn a total of 550 bonus gold after collecting every stack.
“The goal of the rune here is to provide a different mindset and option for the Hunter row,” Riot TheTruexy said. “Instead of a slowly stacking scaling rune, this one is about spiking early and hunting down your final stacks.”
Release Date
Treasure Hunter is currently on the PBE for testing and scheduled to go live on League of Legends patch 12.6, March 30, 2022.
