Recent leaks suggest we will be getting two champions from Demacia in Season 2025.
One of the biggest selling factors for League of Legends is its extensive roster of champions. Currently, the game has 168 different champions and each comes with their unique abilities. Not only that, Riot releases more champions each year.
In 2024 alone, Riot has released three new champions. These champions are Smolder the Fiery Fledgling, Aurora the Witch Between Worlds, and the final champion of 2024, Ambessa the Matriarch of War.
With the release of Ambessa, we have the final champion of 2024, leaving players eagerly waiting on what Riot has planned for 2025. Usually, Riot shares information regarding upcoming champions in the Champion Roadmap at the start of each year.
However, recent leaks have provided an early glimpse into some of the champions expected to join League of Legends in the coming months. Moreover, two of the three champions are said to hail from Demacia.

Season 2025 Champions Leaked
The first champion of 2025 is expected to be Mel Medarda.
At the end of Arcane Season 2, it was heavily implied that Noxus would play a big part in the League of Legends story going forward. Moreover, Riot also announced that the first season of 2025 will be noxus-themed. Not only that, Mel was also released in TFT not too long ago. Finally, the prominent leaker Big Bad Bear has claimed that Mel is the most likely candidate for the next champion.
As for the other two champions, leaks suggest they will come from the Demacia region. Riot recently announced that starting in 2025, each season will have a dedicated theme, influencing not just champions but also most skins. According to leaks, the theme for Split 2 (Season 2) of 2025 will be Demacia, making Demacian champions a strong possibility.
Regarding these champions, Big Bad Bear shared some details. The first is said to be a Demacian Mage, while the second, called the “Rose Knight,” will feature white armor and abilities inspired by roses.
