League of Legends Season 11 ranked and ranked reset is going to start in early January 2021.
In preparation for the new Season 11, Riot Games has brought some significant changes in the Summoner’s Rift in the 2021 preseason. The most notable one was the introduction of the new item class and item overhaul. On top of that, Riot has also brought some meaningful changes to the ranked system as well.
However, ever since the preseason went live a lot of players have been reporting that they are gaining extremely low LP while losing higher LP than usual. Riot has also confirmed that there were some “internal changes” in the ranked system in order to prepare for the next season and they are currently working on fixing the issues in season 11.
And now as the last patch of the preseason, patch 10.25 just went live it is now time for the upcoming 2021 Ranked season to begin.
When does the Season 11 ranked season start?
League of Legends Season 11 ranked season will officially start from January 8, 2020.

- JP – January 8, 2021 at 04:00 AM JST
- KR – January 8, 2021 at 04:00 AM KST
- RU – January 8, 2021 at 04:00 AM MSK

- EUNE – January 8, 2021 at 04:00 AM CET
- EUW – January 8, 2021 at 04:00 AM GMT
- BR – January 8, 2021 at 04:00 AM GMT-3

The new ranked season will start with patch 11.1 and League of Legends players can also expect a ranked reset following the same day as well.
As there is no inter-division promotion in the game anymore to “smooth out progression speed bumps”, there might still be a “slightly” less LP gain even after the season 11 ranked reset.
