Riot Games reveals League of Legends’ upcoming Legendary Support item for 2021, Elderplate.
Earlier this month, Riot Games confirmed that they are currently working on two new Legendary items and one heavily reworked one. In the meantime, Riot has already revealed the new AD item Hullbreaker that is replacing Sanguine Blade and anti split push tank item Anathema’s Chains, releasing in patch 11.13.
Now, Riot has unveiled the new Support Legendary item Elderplate and its stats are currently out on the PBE.
Enchanters have always struggled against a fed assassin or a fed carry. Even Riot said, “enchanters have been entirely defenseless when caught, making them exceptionally punishing to play when the enemy team has powerful aggressors.”
Therefore, the main purpose of this new item, Elderplate, is to give those Enchanter support champions some sort of survivability. This new support item will give them burst resistance similar to Zhonya’s Hourglass. But the new item will have a much more “supportive bend”.

Release Date
Unlike the tank and AD item, there’s no official date for the new Support item Elderplate yet. However, as the item’s stats are already out on the PBE, there’s a chance that Elderplate might release in LoL patch 11.14, July 8, 2021.
