A new GTA 6 leak is making a particularly surprising claim about Rockstar Games’ upcoming title. The person or group operating under the name Cyberleek claims Grand Theft Auto VI contains a form of currency that can potentially be exchanged for real-world money, comparing the system to Roblox’s Robux. The claim is now spreading across social media, but there is an important catch. As of writing, Rockstar Games has not confirmed such a feature or denied its existence.

In brief

  • Cyberleek claims GTA 6 features a currency that can be exchanged for real money.
  • The alleged system has been compared to Roblox’s Robux economy.
  • Rockstar has not confirmed the currency or any real-money cash-out feature.
  • Cyberleek has recently published other apparent GTA 6 material, but this specific claim remains unverified.

GTA 6 leaker claims players could exchange currency for real money

According to Cyberleek, GTA 6 contains an in-game currency that can be traded for real-life money. This information came to light after the recent wave of Cyberleek leaked material became public. However, no evidence confirming how the supposed currency system actually works has been made public.

Cyberleek is currently behind several apparent GTA 6 leaks, including gameplay clips and alleged map information. Some of the leaked videos were removed following copyright claims, although Rockstar and Take-Two had not publicly confirmed the authenticity of the material at the time of reporting.

roblox games

The comparison to Robux does not necessarily mean every GTA 6 player would simply be able to convert their in-game balance into dollars.

Roblox operates a Developer Exchange program called DevEx, which allows eligible creators to exchange qualifying Earned Robux for real money after meeting specific requirements.

If GTA 6 really contains a comparable feature, it could potentially point toward some form of creator economy or reward system rather than a traditional gameplay currency that anyone can cash out. However, that is speculation.

Rockstar has not confirmed a GTA 6 real-money currency

Rockstar’s official GTA 6 information currently describes the game as a single-player experience starring Jason and Lucia, with a November 19, 2026 release planned for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Its official materials do not announce a player cash-out currency or a Robux-style economy.

Take-Two is certainly familiar with virtual currencies, with GTA Online already contributing virtual currency revenue to the company’s recurrent consumer spending. But that is very different from allowing players to convert virtual earnings back into real money.

Cyberleek’s currency claim should be treated strictly as an unverified leak since Rockstar Games hasn’t verified the leak. Until Rockstar reveals the system itself, there is no confirmation that GTA 6 players will actually be able to turn in-game currency into real-world cash.
