The word “F*ck” has been removed from the list of censored words in Genshin Impact.

Genshin Impact is an Action RPG game developed by Chinese company Mihoyo. The game is mainly free to play with a gacha monetization system. Players can use real money to wish for characters and weapons. Genshin Impact is currently available on PC, Playstation, Xbox, Android, and IOS.

After its official release, Genshin Impact players noticed a lot of words were censored in Genshin Impact. While writing in the chatbox these censored words would appear as asterisks. Genshin Impact being a PEGI 12 game a lot of swear words were censored.

Additionally, words like “S*x”, “mother”, “big chest” are censored. During the initial release of the game, it caused some controversy when players found out that words like “Taiwan” and “Hong Kong” were also censored. According to some, Mihoyo is censoring these words because they have to abide by Chinese Regulations.

F*ck is not Censored Anymore:

Recently the word “F*ck” was removed from the list of censored words. Fortnite leaker Genshin Report recently said,

“I’ve recently learned that the word “F*ck” is no longer censored in the Genshin Impact in-game chat.
Use this information responsibly”

We also tried to use the word “F*ck” and it appeared uncensored and in all of its glory. Apparently, Mihoyo did this without any reason which begs the question was this a mistake?

Whatever the case may be, the word “F*ck” is currently uncensored and you can use it to your heart’s content. Who knows maybe Mihoyo might change their mind and censor it in a future Genshin Impact update.
