Electro is one of the strongest elements in Genshin Impact, and some Electro characters are currently running the meta in the game. This tier list will help you decide which Electro characters you need for your party.
There are almost 74 playable characters in Genshin Impact, and each character in the game wields an elemental vision. Electro has been one of the strongest elements in Genshin Impact since the start of the game; in the current meta, it is the strongest. Characters like Raiden Shogun, Kuki Shinobu, and Yae Miko are more popular than before since the release of the Dendro element.
Since the release of the Sumeru region and Dendro element, the Electro element has had strong reactions with Dendro, and most team comps in Genshin Impact now consist of Electro characters. This tier list will help you identify the best Electro characters in the game and help you choose for your teams.

Tier List & Ranking Explained
Take a look at the following to understand my reasoning behind each tier:
Tier | Description |
---|---|
S | The S-tier is for characters that excel in most teams and are part of the Genshin meta. But some cons hold them back from getting to the A-tier, like having a constellation requirement or High DPS and low support potential or vice versa or not being versatile enough to be effective in every type of Spiral Abyss run. |
A | The A-tier is for characters that excel in most teams and are part of the Genshin meta. But some cons hold them back from getting to the S-tier. Like having a constellation requirement or High DPS & low support potential or vice versa or not being versatile enough to be effective in every type of Spiral Abyss run. |
B | B-tier is a place for characters with excellent DPS or Support qualities but only excel at one role perfectly or aren’t versatile enough to be used varietally. |
C | The S-tier is for characters that excel in most teams and are part of the Genshin meta. But some cons hold them back from getting to the A-tier, like having a constellation requirement or High DPS and low support potential or vice versa, or not being versatile enough to be effective in every type of Spiral Abyss run. |
D | This tier is for characters that offer a standard damage and support output, which can easily be neglected as the game has better alternatives. |

Electro Characters in Genshin Impact
Here’s a breakdown of the tier list of all the Electro characters in Genshin Impact, going from worst to best.
12. Dori
Category | Details |
Talent Priority | Elemental Burst > Elemental Skill > Normal Attack |
Best Team Supports | Nahida, Kazuha, FIschl, Raiden Shogun |
Team Role | Electro Support, Healer |
Artifact | 4-piece Noblesse Oblige |
Stat Priority | Energy Recharge, HP%, Elemental Mastery |
Starting with Dori as the first Electro in the D-tier, a playable 4-star character from Sumeru. Dori can be played as an Electro-support or healer in team comps that need a healer. However, her support and healing abilities are not on par with other characters in the game.
Playing with Dori seems slow and underwhelming because of her kit. Her elemental burst cost is one of the highest in the game for a 4-star character, and it’s the only way she can generate energy for others. Dori is comparably weaker than other Electro characters in the game, so she is at the bottom of this tier list.
Pros
- N/A
Cons
- High energy cost for elemental burst
- Underwhelming Electro application and healing
11. Traveler (Electro)
Category | Details |
Talent Priority | Elemental Burst > Elemental Skill > Normal Attack |
Best Supports | Tartaglia, Beidou, Bennett, Rosaria |
Team Role | Physical Support, Main DPS |
Artifact | 4-piece Noblesse Oblige 4-piece Emblem of Severed Fate |
Stat Priority | CRIT Rate/Crit DMG, ATK%, Energy Recharge |
Joining Dori in the D-tier is none other than the Electro Traveler, which might be a weird choice since they are the main protagonists, but stick with me.
The Traveler can obtain the power of any element, and when version 2.0 update dropped, they obtained the power of Electro. The Electro Traveler can play more of a supporting role in most team comps; however, they are not strong regarding damage numbers.
Their elemental skill and burst can generate energy particles for your team, but nothing impressive. The Traveler’s electro application is also sub-par compared to other Electro characters already available in the game.
Pros
- Can be used as an Electro battery
- Free-to-play friendly and can be built easily
Cons
- Underwhelming damage output
- Other better characters are available in the game

10. Razor
Category | Details |
Talent Priority | Normal Attack > Elemental Burst > Elemental Skill |
Best Supports | Bennett, Zhongli, Xingqiu |
Team Role | Physical Main DPS |
Artifact | 4-piece Pale Flame 4-piece Gladiator’s Finale 2-piece Bloodstained Chivalry + 2-piece Pale Flame |
Stat Priority | ATK%, Energy Recharge, Crit Rate/Crit DMG |
The first Electro character in C-tier is Razor, one of the first 4-star characters released in Genshin Impact. Even though Razor is an Electro character, he is more often played as a Physical DPS than an Electro unit.
Razor has been featured in a number of quests and events at the start of Genshin Impact and the first proper main DPS character for most players. If you’re a new player who just started Genshin Impact, Razor will help you into the early game. Our favorite wolf boy gets less useful in the game’s later stages because the enemies are more powerful.
His elemental burst and skill can do decent damage, but his damage is mostly Physical, so he mostly relies on his normal attacks for damage. Razor is a great option if you need a really good DPS character in the early game.
Pros
- Good DPS for early-game content
- Can be played as both Electro and Physical DPS
- Free-to-play friendly and can be built easily
Cons
- Not good for end-game content
- Other DPS characters available in-game
9. Lisa
Category | Details |
Talent Priority | Elemental Burst> Elemental Skill > Normal Attack |
Best Supports | Nahida, Raiden Shogun, Kazuha, Kokomi |
Team Role | Electro Support |
Artifact | 4-piece Thundering Fury 4-piece Gilded Dreams 4-piece Thundersoother |
Stat Priority | Elemental Mastery, Energy Recharge, ATK%, CRIT Rate/DMG |
Lisa joins the C-tier alongside Razor as the only other Electro character on the list. The mighty librarian of the Knights of Favonius, Lisa, is the first Electro character we get in Genshin Impact.
Lisa is a 4-star Catalyst character who was weak in Genshin Impact before the Sumeru update because her electro application was slower than that of other characters. But after the release of Dendro, Lisa became more popular amongst the player base and started to use her as an electro-support in many team comps.
Lisa’s elemental skill is a bit weak, but her elemental burst can reduce the DEF of enemies and can apply Electro in a small area. She is lower on the list because other characters on the list are more powerful than Lisa, and for being a character who can be only obtained from the Standard banner, her constellations are hard to get.
8. Beidou
Category | Details |
Talent Priority | Elemental Burst > Elemental Skill > Normal Attack |
Best Supports | Kamisato Ayato, Fischl, Xingqiu, Kazuha |
Team Role | Sub DPS, Elemental Burst Support |
Artifact | 4-piece Emblem of Severed Fate 2-piece Nobless Oblige + 2-piece Thundering Fury |
Stat Priority | ATK%, CRIT Rate/DMG, Energy Recharge |
Starting the B-tier with Beidou, the captain of the Crux of Liyue in Genshin Impact. Beidou is a 4-star Claymore character and used to be one of the most popular Electro units in the game before the Inazuma update.
Beidou is a really strong Electro character because of her powerful Electro abilities. Even though Beidou is a 4-star character, she is expensive to build regarding team comps and weapon investments. Besides that, Beidou can deal a lot of damage with her elemental skill and burst, and her elemental burst can be used even when she is not on the field.
Even though she is powerful, Beidou has seen the biggest drop in terms of use after the release of Raiden Shogun. In addition, there are other Electro characters available in the game who are free-to-play friendly and easier to build than Beidou.
Pros
- Top-tier off-field support and DPS
- Good for early-game content
Cons
- Requires high energy recharge
- Not free-to-play friendly

7. Cyno
Category | Details |
Talent Priority | Elemental Burst > Elemental Skill > Normal Attack |
Best Supports | Nahida, Raiden Shogun, Xingqiu, Zhongli |
Team Role | Main DPS, Pyro Support, Shielder |
Artifact | 4-piece Thundering Fury 4-piece Gilded Dreams 4-piece Gladiator’s Finale |
Stat Priority | ATK%, Elemental Mastery, CRIT Rate/DMG, Energy Recharge |
Cyno is a 5-star playable character in Genshin Impact and the first Electro character from Sumeru. Known as the General Mahamatra, Cyno wields Polearm as a weapon and played as an on-field DPS in the game.
Cyno is placed in the B-tier on the list because his Electro abilities are somewhat decent but not great. He is the most unique character on this list regarding playstyle animations, but only if you can use him properly. His main damage comes from his elemental burst, in which all his elemental skill and normal attacks turn into Electro attacks, and he has a 100% uptime on his burst if utilized properly.
When properly built, he can be used with Dendro and Hydro support characters like Nahida and Xingqiu in most team comps or as a solo Electro carry.
Pros
- Can be a really good Electro carry
- Unique in terms of playstyle
Cons
- Underpowered compared to other DPS characters
- Limited team comps
6. Keqing
Category | Details |
Talent Priority | Normal Attack > Elemental Skill > Elemental Burst |
Best Supports | Fischl, Bennett, Kazuha, Zhongli, Nahida |
Team Role | Main DPS |
Artifact | 4-piece Thundering Fury 4-piece Gladiator’s Finale |
Stat Priority | CRIT Rate/DMG, ATK% |
Joining Cyno in the B-tier on the list is Keqing, the first 5-star Electro character in Genshin Impact. Keqing is a fast and versatile character in the game and can be played as an Electro or Physical DPS, depending on how you build her.
Keqing is the only 5-star character from the Standard banner who was also featured as a Limited Time banner. Keqing got significantly stronger after the release of the Dendro element and still can be viable as a fast damage dealer because of her being a sword character.
Keqing’s electro abilities have a low cooldown, so she can quickly deal damage with her normal attacks and elemental burst. Her elemental skill makes her teleport and infuse her attacks into Electro, which can be used to damage enemies with fast attacks. Keqing is also a good free-to-play friendly, and easy-to-build character for all Genshin Impact players.
Pros
- Good DPS for both early and late-game
- Versatile and free-to-play friendly
Cons
- Limited team comps
- Requires really strong support characters in the team
5. Kujou Sara
Category | Details |
Talent Priority | Normal Attack > Elemental Skill > Elemental Burst |
Best Supports | Raiden Shogun, Bennett, Kazuha |
Team Role | Support, Burst DPS |
Artifact | 4-piece Emblem of Severed Fate |
Stat Priority | CRIT Rate/DMG, ATK%, Energy Recharge |
Starting the A-tier with Kujou Sara, a playable 4-star Electro character in Genshin Impact and one of the first characters introduced from Inazuma. Kujou Sara is a Bow character, mainly played as a Support and sometimes as a Burst DPS in the game.
Sara can be a really powerful character after getting all of her six constellations. Sara often plays with Raiden Shogun as her support because Sara can significantly buff the party’s Crit damage. Sara’s playstyle lies between support and sub-DPS; however, she has to be built like a DPS character. Even though her Electro application is not on par with other characters on the list, her supporting abilities are good enough to put her in the A-tier of the list.
Pros
- Top-tier support and has DPS potential
- Low stats requirements with Artifacts
Cons
- Needs constellations to be useful(Specifically C6)
- Limited team comps

4. Fischl
Category | Details |
Talent Priority | Elemental Skill > Normal Attack > Elemental Burst |
Best Supports | Xingqiu, Yelan, Raiden Shogun, Zhongli |
Team Role | Support, Physical DPS |
Artifact | 4-piece Thundering Fury |
Stat Priority | ATK%, Elemental Mastery, CRIT Rate/DMG |
Fishcl is a 4-star playable character and is often considered one of the best Electro characters in Genshin Impact. Fischl was one of the first Electro characters in the game, and she was more powerful because like Razor, she can also be played as a Physical DPS.
Fischl can apply Electro fast even when she is not on the field with her elemental skill, which is useful for a team that needs an electro-applicator. Her elemental burst can deal a decent amount of damage, but she is mostly used for her elemental skill and normal bow attacks. Her normal attacks can auto nearby enemies and deal massive Physical damage. Besides being a sub-DPS, Fischl can also be a great battery for your party, generating a lot of energy for your team.
With the release of Dendro, Fischl became even more useful because most Dendro-oriented teams need an Electro character in their party. Because of Fischl’s powerful Electro abilities, she is a really good character for your party and can help you defeat any enemies.
Pros
- Can be played as both Electro-support and Physical DPS
- Really good Electro battery
Cons
- Needs constellations to be strong
- Not free-to-play friendly

3. Yae Miko
Category | Details |
Talent Priority | Elemental Skill > Elemental Burst > Normal Attack |
Best Supports | Kokomi, Nahida, Raiden Shogun, Kazuha |
Team Role | Main DPS |
Artifact | 4-piece Thundering Fury 2-piece Thundering Fury + 2-piece Wanderer’s Troupe |
Stat Priority | CRIT Rate/DMG, ATK%, Elemental Mastery |
Yae Miko, also known as Guuji Yae, is the Shrine Maiden of the Grand Narukami Shrine and is a 5-star playable character from Inazuma. Yae Miko is an off-field sub-DPS character and can be strong with she is built with good artifacts.
Yae Miko is a Catalyst user, and her main use comes from her elemental skill, in which she will summon a Sesshou Sakura, which will strike one nearby enemy with Electro damage. Miko can place three Sesshou Sakura on the field, and her elemental skill will reset once she uses her elemental burst. Her elemental burst deals massive AoE Electro damage; moreover, she can use her skill almost immediately after her burst.
What makes Yae Miko strong because after casting her skill, her totem will apply and deal with electro damage over time, and she is not required to be on the field. This makes her a viable option for many teams that require an Electro character.
Pros
- Does not require much field time
- Can be played as a DPS
Cons
- Slow for a Catalyst character
- Not free-to-play friendly
2. Kuki Shinobu
Category | Details |
Talent Priority | Elemental Skill > Elemental Burst > Normal Attack |
Best Supports | Raiden Shogun, Al Haitham, Nahida, Kamisato Ayato |
Team Role | Support, Healer |
Artifact | 4-piece Gilded Dreams |
Stat Priority | Elemental Mastery, CRIT Rate/DMG, Energy Recharge, HP% |
The final character in A-tier, Kuki Shinobu is a 4-star playable character from Inazuma, a former shrine maiden of the Grand Narukami Shrine and the Deputy Leader of the Arataki Gang. Kuki Shinobu is played as a support character in the game and can also provide heals for your team.
Kuki Shinobu is a top-tier support after the release of Fontaine and Sumeru region. She can heal the character on the field, apply Electro on nearby enemies, and damage them simultaneously. Most of the new characters get buffed when their HP goes down, and Kuki is a great support for them to get their HP back up and apply Electro for strong elemental reactions.
Kuki is a really good free-to-friendly character and does not require high constellations for her to become strong. She is good at C0 and can be a really good support for teams that need a strong Electro applicator and healer.
Pros
- Can apply Electro over time
- Can be slotted into teams that require a Healer
- F2P friendly and can be built easily
Cons
- Always on low HP because of her skill
1. Raiden Shogun
Category | Details |
Talent Priority | Elemental Burst > Elemental Skill > Normal Attack |
Best Supports | Xiangling, Xingqiu, Kazuha, Bennett, Yelan |
Team Role | Main DPS, Support |
Artifact | 4-piece Emblem of Severed Fate |
Stat Priority | Energy Recharge, ATK%, CRIT Rate/DMG |
Raiden Shogun is a 5-star playable character in Inazuma and arguably one of the strongest characters in Genshin Impact. Raiden is the current Electro Archon of Inazuma, uses a polearm in combat, and is the only Electro character on the list who deserves to be placed in the S-tier.
Since her release in version 2.1 update, Raiden Shogun has been one of the most popular characters in Genshin Impact and the community because of her strong Electro abilities. She is among the most picked characters in all available team comps because of her useful Electro kit.
Raiden’s elemental skill will apply Electro and damage on enemies whenever they are hit, even with other characters in your party. Her elemental skill will continuously generate energy particles for the team. Her elemental burst is a powerful slash that deals massive AoE Electro damage, and later can use a sword to attack enemies during her burst. Apart from dealing damage, Raiden’s burst will also boost the damage of other party members and regenerate their energy.
Raiden Shogun can be slotted into any team comps in Genshin Impact because of her Electro-damage dealing abilities and ability to provide energy to her party. She can be a good Electro applicator on-field and off-field and deal damage massively whenever she is on-field.
Pros
- Top-tier support and DPS
- Can be slotted into most team comps in the game
- F2P friendly and can be built easily
Cons
- Needs to be on the field most of the time
- Characters of specific elements can be a better battery than her
