Kamisato Ayaka, Navia, Yoimiya, and Raiden Shogun, who should you pull in Genshin Impact 4.3? This guide will help you decide which character to pull in this update.
In the version 4.3 update, Genshin Impact is bringing four strong characters into the game, including the newest 5-star Geo character Navia, in the game. Kamisato Ayaka, Raiden Shogun, and Yoimiya will also have rerun banners in this update. Many old and new players are confused about which character to pull in this update.
Getting characters can be challenging for players in Genshin Impact because it is a Gacha title, and you cannot get all the characters in the game. It can be expensive if players decide to spend money to get a specific character.
Moreover, this is the first time HoYoverse has featured four strong characters in a single update. So, it is confusing for new and old players to decide which character they should get from this update. If you are short on Primogems and can only pull a single character, this guide is for you.

In this guide, I have highlighted all four characters’ strengths and weaknesses, which will help you decide which character is suitable for your party.
Character You Should Pull in Genshin Impact 4.3 Update
Kamisato Ayaka
Kamisato Ayaka is the oldest daughter of the Kamisato Clan from Inazuma and the sister of Kamisato Ayato. First introduced with the version 2.0 update in Genshin Impact, Ayaka is a 5-star Cryo sword character and widely regarded as one of the most powerful DPS characters in the game.
She can easily defeat the toughest opponents in the game thanks to her powerful Cryo abilities, which make her a dangerous unit on the field.
Kamisato Ayaka excels in the Freeze team comps, where she is paired with Hydro and Anemo support characters and can freeze the enemies for a long time in addition to dealing damage. Her normal attacks are infused with Cryo whenever she dashes, and her charged attacks are strong Cryo slashes.
Moreover, her elemental skill deals with AoE Cryo damage, and her elemental burst will unleash a Cryo storm that will move forward and damage enemies.
Kamisato Ayaka’s Strengths and Weaknesses
Strengths:
- Powerful Cryo Abilities: Ayaka’s elemental powers focus on her Cryo abilities. She can deal damage with both her charged, and normal attacks, and her elemental skill and burst can deal significant damage in addition to her strong attacks.
- Elemental Burst: Ayaka’s elemental burst ‘Kamisato Art – Soumetsu’ is one of the most powerful in the game as it can freeze enemies and deal massive damage, which can sometimes defeat enemies with a single use.
- Freezing Ability: Ayaka can freeze enemies for a long time with Hydro supports and keep them frozen for a long time when she applies her Cryo attacks. This is helpful for difficult enemies in the game as they stay frozen, and Ayaka can damage them.
- Mobility and Agility: Ayaka is the only other character besides Mona with an alternate sprint animation where she can move underground. This movement animation gives her exceptional mobility and swift movements, which is helpful in combat.
Weaknesses:
- Energy Recharge: Ayaka requires a lot of recharge to initiate her elemental burst. So, it is hard to maintain her energy recharge using artifacts.
- Team Comps: Kamisato Ayaka has very few team comps and support characters available in Genshin Impact. She is only good for Freeze team comps and does not deal good damage with Melt teams.
- Farming: Ayaka’s ascension material can only be found in Inazuma, which is a struggle for early-game players who cannot get there immediately. You need to complete the Archon quests in Liyue to travel to Inazuma, and after exploring for a few hours, you can farm her ascension materials.
Yoimiya
Yoimiya is a playable 5-star Pyro bow character in Genshin Impact. She owns Naganohara Fireworks and is loved by everyone on Narukami Island for her colorful fireworks and outgoing personality.
First introduced in the game in the version 2.0 update, Yoimiya is one of the strongest Pyro characters in Genshin Impact. She is a strong Pyro carry who can deal good damage independently and gets better with Cryo and Hydro supports on her team. With proper artifacts, weapon, and strong supports, Yoimiya can deal really good damage and take on the strongest enemies in the game.

Yoimiya’s Strengths and Weaknesses
Strengths
- Strong Pyro Carry: Being a Pyro character, Yoimiya is strong against Cryo enemies and can easily break enemies’ Cryo shields. She can also trigger strong elemental reactions with Hydro, Electro, and Dendro.
- Strong Elemental Skill and Attack Range: Yoimiya is a bow character who can attack enemies at medium or long range. Her elemental skill, “Niwabi Fire-Dance,” will infuse her normal attacks with Pyro and automatically lock onto enemies while attacking.
- Easy Playstyle: Building Yoimiya is pretty easy and straightforward with Shimenawa’s Reminiscence artifacts set and craftable weapons. Unlike other DPS characters, she does not require much energy recharge, which makes her easier to play with.
Weaknesses
- Normal Attacks: Yoimiya’s normal attack has a low damage output compared to other bow users in the game. Her normal attacks are only strong after casting her elemental skill.
- Long Skill CD: Yoimiya’s elemental skill and burst have a long cooldown, which can make her vulnerable and take time to make her usable again.
- Single-Target Only: She can only damage single-target enemies, which is bad when you are fighting multiple enemies. She is outperformed by Hu Tao and Xiangling, who can do more single-target damage and multiple targets.
Raiden Shogun
Raiden Shogun is a 5-star playable Electro character in Genshin Impact. She is the current Electro Archon of Inazuma and is widely considered the best overall character in the game. Raiden uses a polearm in combat and is primarily played as a DPS character, in addition to her strong Electro abilities, which can support other characters.
Raiden Shogun was first introduced in the version 2.1 update of Genshin Impact. Her elemental skill will damage enemies over time and generate 0.5 elemental particles on every hit. Raiden’s elemental burst Secret Art: Musou Shinsetsu is one of the strongest in the game, which will cause Raiden to pull out a sword to slash enemies, dealing AoE Electro damage.
Raiden is also the strongest universal battery in Genshin Impact. She can easily provide energy recharge to any character of your party. Her supporting abilities allowed the community to run team comps that used to require a lot of energy recharge, which made her a must-have character in the game.
Raiden Shogun’s Strengths and Weaknesses
Strengths:
- Easy Playstyle: Raiden is easy to play with because of her straightforward Electro abilities. Any player with less mechanical abilities can play Raiden easily because she will deal good damage regardless.
- Strong Constellations: Raiden Shogun has some of the early constellations in Genshin Impact, most importantly her C2 and C3. With her second constellation, Raiden’s elemental burst will ignore 60% of opponents’ DEF, and her C3 will increase her elemental burst’s talent level by 3.
- Electro Application: Raiden can be a good Electro applicator on-field and off-field. She can chain electro-charged, overload, and hyperbloom reactions and deal massive damage when she is on-field. And she can do all these reactions even if she is off-field when you are using other characters.
- Team Comps: Raiden Shogun can be slotted into any team comps in Genshin Impact because of her Electro-damage dealing abilities and ability to provide energy to her party. The Raiden National team is one of the strongest teams in the game and can defeat any enemy, no matter how strong they are.
- Free-to-Play Friendly: Raiden is one of the free-to-play friendly characters in the Genshin Impact. Her best free-to-play weapon, ‘The Catch,‘ can be obtained for free by catching fish in the game. The Catch is a strong Polearm that works great on Raiden and with other characters in the game.
Weaknesses:
- Needs Field Time: Raiden needs a lot of field time in combat and provides energy for her party. So it is important to build your entire team comp around her.
- Other Support Characters: Even though Raiden is a top-tier battery for almost all team comps, that doesn’t mean she is the best option.
It is better to use a battery for the same element rather than to use Raiden. For example, it is better to use Sucrose for an Anemo team instead of Raiden or Xingqiu for a team that needs Hydro support.

Navia
Navia, the President of the Spina Di Rosula, is the newest playable character in the version 4.3 update of Genshin Impact. Navia is a 5-star Geo playable character in the game and has been released alongside Kamisato Ayaka in Phase 1 of the update.
Navia is a Geo DPS character who uses a Claymore in combat and has brought new ways to utilize the Geo element in the game. Navia’s damage is based on Crystalized reactions, which is different from other Geo characters in the game. Moreover, she has good synergy with characters of other elements but does not go well with Geo-focused team comps.
After Navia’s release, she was well-received by the Genshin Impact community and stood out as a top-tier DPS character because of her unique Geo abilities. Her elemental skill will collect elemental shards and stack them for Navia to shoot from her Gunbrella for a powerful shot that deals massive Ousia-aligned Geo damage. Navia’s elemental burst will unleash a massive cannon bombardment on enemies, dealing AoE Geo damage and providing cannon fire support for a short while dealing more Geo damage.
Navia’s Strengths and Weaknesses
Strengths
- Easy Playstyle: Navia is relatively easier to play with than other available Geo characters in the game. Her elemental skill and burst are pretty straightforward, and she is only on the field when you want to use her abilities.
- Changed the Geo Meta: Unlike other Geo characters, Navia relies more on characters of elements rather than Geo supports. Hydro, Pyro, and Cryo characters will generate elemental shards for Navia to maximize her damage.
On the other hand, traditional Geo-focused teams need one or two characters to buff Geo damage. So, the introduction of Navia has changed how the game is played with Geo elements as a whole. - Low Investment, Massive Damage: Navia can deal good damage even with low-investment artifacts and weapons. Players can deal massive damage without upgrading her talents and older Gladiator’s Finale artifacts.
Weaknesses
- Team Comps: Navia requires good support and buffers for her damage output. So, players need to build the team focusing on Navia.
- Farming: Navia is relatively new to the game, and farming to ascend her talents is troublesome and time-consuming.
Choosing Between Ayaka, Navia, Yoimiya, and Raiden Shogun
Kamisato Ayaka, Yoimiya, Navia, and Raiden Shogun are all available in the version 4.3 update of Genshin Impact. Kamisato Ayaka and Navia are the first two banners featured in Phase 1 of this update.
Raiden Shogun and Yoimiya will be featured in Phase 2 of the version 4.3 update. All four characters are unique in terms of playstyle, and they are solid in damage-dealing abilities.
That being said, which character you should pull is entirely up to you, but I will highlight some things from all characters to help you decide.
Kamisato Ayaka is a top-tier DPS character in the game because of her powerful Cryo abilities. She is fun to play with because of her unique sprint animation, and her element burst is one of the strongest in the game. So, she will be a great addition to your team if you decide to pull for her.
On the other hand, Raiden Shogun is often considered a must-have character if you are playing Genshin Impact and one of the strongest characters in the game. For being an Archon, Raiden Shogun’s Electro abilities are really powerful, and she can carry your entire party through the most challenging stages in the Spiral Abyss. Not only that, but she is also a good Electro support and battery for any team comps, so you will not struggle with energy particles for your characters.
Similarly, Yoimiya is also a top-tier Pyro DPS great for single-target enemies in the game. She is the most unique bow character in Genshin Impact and is fun and easy to play with.
However, Navia is a relatively new character in the game and a really strong Geo character with a lot of DPS potential. Her elemental skill and burst are powerful, and the Crystallize reaction was not useful before Navia’s arrival. Her meta-changing gameplay is refreshing to see in Genshin Impact.
Now, if you are confused about which character you should pull for, it is entirely up to you because all four characters have different playstyles and are unique. Kamisato Ayaka, Yoimiya, and Navia have high DPS potential and can carry you through the strongest domains in Genshin Impact. Raiden Shogun is a tricky decision because she is a DPS & Support and excels in her role.
I recommend that Raiden Shogun is your best option because of what she can offer your team. She has the best choice because she can be slotted into many teams, and the Electro element is strong in the current meta. It would be hard for early-game players to farm for her materials because you need to complete the Archon quests in Inazuma so you can go there to farm for her materials.
Kamisato Ayaka, Yoimiya, and Navia are all great characters, but Raiden Shogun is a more useful and F2P-friendly character. So, if you want a powerful character and have enough Primogems to pull for a single character, Raiden Shogun is the one character you can pull for in this update.
