Bard is getting some huge changes in Patch 13.18 of League of Legends.

League of Legends has been getting a ton of changes for most of the year. Riot is coming out with Patch 13.18, the last update before the Worlds patch. Also, Briar will not be at Worlds 2023 as she is in the aforementioned Patch 13.18.

There are still a ton of things to look forward to, as Riot has changed many items and champions so far. Goredrinker and Spear of Shojin received nerfs once again, while Riot has been slowly addressing the outliers of the game.

So far, Riot has said they are happy with the meta, so we should not see too many sweeping changes for Patch 13.19. This was the same case for Patch 13.18, as Riot is not trying to make too many sweeping changes.

Even then, Riot is coming out with some sweeping changes, as Bard is getting a fair bit of them. Here is what we know so far.

Bard Changes Patch 13.18

Before we discuss the changes for Bard, here they are.

  • Passive – Traveler’s Call:
    • Out of Combat Movement Speed Stacks: up to 5 times >>> up to 10 times.
    • Stack Duration: 7 seconds >>> 20 seconds.
  • W – Caretaker’s Shrine:
    • Now uses Ammo (maximum 2).
    • Ammo Charge Time/Cooldown: 14 seconds >>> 18 seconds.
    • Shrine Charge Time: 10 seconds >>> 5 seconds.
    • Bonus Movement Speed: 30% decaying over 1.5 seconds >>> 20/22.5/25/27.5/30% (+0.05% AP) decaying over 1.5 seconds.

In a nutshell, Bard is getting a ton of changes and roaming ability. His Passive is being updated to give more Out of Combat Movement Speed to roam about the map. Also, the Passive stacks more and for longer, making it even better to impact the map.

There are also changes to his Shrines, as it works more around Ammo than classic Cooldown timers now. Each Ammo will recharge in 18 seconds, making use of more healing. Also, Shrines will fully charge faster when cast now. Overall, the Shrines will provide more healing at the cost of Bonus Movement Speed.

These are some nice changes, as Bard’s identity is all about being a roaming Enchanter. With these changes, Bard will do that more and players will have more fun in the process.
