Riot is set to unveil an April Fools Map in League of Legends.
In the lifetime of League of Legends, Riot has implemented a fair bit of stuff in order to celebrate certain days of the year. Whether it be holidays or otherwise, Riot has always wanted a part of that festival integrated into the game.
For the most part, it has been cosmetics as the holidays of Halloween, Christmas, etc, has their own skin lines or themes. There have also been cosmetics for Valentine’s Day and such. April Fools had their own set of skins released back in the day as well. There are many popular skins like Birdio, Corgi Corki, Meowrick, Moo Cow Alistar, Definitely Not Velkoz and more that have come out as a celebration for April Fools.
The new Cats vs Dogs skins are also part of that celebration coming in Patch 13.7. Also, Riot does something a little more fun in Summoner’s Rift every April Fools. At one point, it was getting extra gold off of throwing stuff at the Rift Scuttler. In the Patch 13.6 notes, Riot teased something coming to Summoner’s Rift. Here is what we know so far.

April Fools Map
SkinSpotlights previously leaked that something is coming for April Fools, and we previously talked about it. As per the new patch notes, there is definitely something being added to League of Legends. In Riot’s words, Normals (Blind Pick) will get a change on the night of March 31st. Something new will be added to Summoner’s Rift and will stay from April 1st until April 3rd.
What exactly is being added is unknown, but it could just be a new look of Summoner’s Rift or something like the Rift Scuttler giving more gold or even a new mini-game. It will be seen as Riot unveils this little tidbit on April 1st.
