An April Fools Game Mode has been revealed for League of Legends.
Over the course of League of Legends’ lifetime, there have been many game modes. At the start of League of Legends, there were many other game modes compared to Summoner’s Rift and ARAM as it is now. Dominion and Twisted Treeline were part of the original game with ARAM being more popular later on.
TFT joined the fray as an official game mode later until it eventually became its own client. In contrast to the constant game modes, there are also Random Game Modes. The popular ones over the course of the past few years are Nexus Blitz, Ultra Rapid Fire Mode, etc.
A new game mode has also been previewed by Riot Games as a 2v2v2v2 game mode is coming soon. While other game modes were not featured, the PBE seems to show a sneak peek of a game mode coming for April Fools 2023. Here is what we know so far.
April Fools 2023 Game Mode
SkinSpotlights showed this sneak peek in the PBE as there was a loading screen that showed it.
Als according to him, it is labeled as tomato. Based on a follow-up by SkinSpotlights, the game mode seems to be an April Fools Exclusive.
There isn’t a whole lot known other than possibly throwing snowballs at a scuttle crab or a theme with minions and the like. All we know for sure is that the 1st of April could reveal a new game mode that would be excellent for the players this year before the 2v2v2v2 mode lands.
