Respawn has finally given us some new information regarding their upcoming season 11 of Apex Legends “Escape.” It turns out that another new weapon called “C.A.R. SMG” will be included in the weapon pool of the game.

With the first announcement blog of the new season 11 “Escape,” players got a first look at the new SMG-type weapon in the game. It has been a while since Respawn introduced another SMG to the game.
The last SMG that was added to the game was Volt,, which entered the Apex games back in season 6. Submachine guns are quite popular among the Apex Legends player base, as their fast firing rate, ease of usability, and faster strafing speed make them an ideal companion in all those close-quarter encounters.

C.A.R SMG First Look
With the release of C.A.R. SMG, Respawn will give players even more options to play. According to Respawn, the C.A.R. SMG is a flexible weapon. And it is apparently ideal for when you’re ready to take a stand and become the last Legend still standing.
Respawn only gave the player base a glimpse into what this weapon looks like, followed by a short description that states this weapon will be really flexible. And new leaks theorize that this new SMG might be compatible with both heavy and light ammo, as hinted by the tagline “flexible”.
Also, leaks have revealed what this new weapon will sound like based on data-mined sound files. It sounds slightly heavier than the R99. However the newly added recoil pattern data indicates this weapon might be really easy to control.
How it works
We finally have some information regarding this new C.A.R. SMG and how it will actually differentiate itself from other SMGs in the game, such as the R99 and the Volt. As it turns out, this SMG will be able to equip both light and heavy ammo types.
While using the light ammo,, the weapon will behave like a typical SMG, as it will be easier to control but deal less damage. On the other hand, if you use heavy ammo, this weapon will deal more damage at the cost of a lower firing rate.
Unsurprisingly, this weapon will be really flexible, as it will be able to take on different ammo types. Consequently, it will open up more tactical opportunities in intense last-man-standing scenarios.
As of writing, we don’t have any additional information other than this picture from the official dev blog regarding this new SMG. While keeping up with the theme of new weapon releases in the game, expect either an alternative firing mode or some sort of unique gimmick to make it stand out from other weapons in its class.
A new leak has also revealed data regarding the recoil pattern of this new SMG.
Most of the new weapons in this shooter can be upgraded with hop-ups. So, there is a possibility of the C.A.R. SMG being compatible with these hop-ups.
