Respawn Entertainment introduces a new type of limited-time event in Apex Legends called Apex Chronicles: Old Ways, New Dawn, starring Bloodhound.
As the game director of Apex Legends has already revealed that Respawn has plans to introduce completely new game modes to the game, we finally saw another glimpse into what these game modes will be.
Unlike Arenas, which is a 3v3-style round-based game mode, Apex Chronicles has much more similarities with the Broken Quest event in the game. Similar to that quest, this one will be a bite-sized story event that aims to inject a narrative into the world of Apex via gameplay challenges and experiences.

What is the Apex Chronicles Event?
To put it simply, Apex Chronicles is a completely different type of short mission-based game mode. According to Respawn, during this event, players who choose Bloodhound will be given the chance to go on an adventure. The journey follows Bloodhound as they try to save an injured prowler and deal with the guilt over their crumbling homeworld and past failures.
How to start the Apex Chronicles Event?
To start the Apex Chronicles event, players just have to play as Bloodhound and join a non-ranked battle royale lobby in the World’s Edge map. After joining a game, players need to find a white Raven with red eyes on the map. As soon as players get their hands on this raven, the quest will be triggered.

How to Complete All the Challenges in Apex Chronicles?
After triggering the quest, players will apparently have to complete different side quests to progress to the next bit of the story. Also, there will be multiple checkpoints to resume your journey.
- Players are assigned unique paths to chase, so even if multiple Bloodhound players are going for the challenge at the same time, they’ll be able to avoid overlap with others.
- You’ll be able to resume your journey from a checkpoint if you aren’t able to complete it in a single game.
Apex Chronicles Quest Rewards
For completing all the different challenges associated with the Apex Chronicles Quest, players will be rewarded with battle pass stars, along with three Bloodhound-themed Apex packs for completing the whole Chronicle.
Apex Chronicles Release Date:
According to Respawn, players will get their hands on this short story-based event on September 29, 2021.
