How to Find Every Dataslate in Warhammer 40K Space Marine 2
Warhammer 40K Space Marine 2’s campaign drops you back into the power armor of the legendary Space Marine Demetrian Titus, the protagonist of the first game.
It takes you on a journey across a variety of visceral war-torn locations as you engage in intense combat with swarms of Tyranid hordes as well as the forces of Chaos. You’ll have to use an array of different weapons and tactics to defend the Imperium of Man
Throughout the campaign, one of the only few collectibles you’ll find are Dataslates. They contain tidbits of lore, important information, and insights into the 40K universe. For achievement hunters, collecting all 35 Dataslates unlocks the Data Mining Achievement.
Some of these Dataslates can be found easily while progressing through the campaign, as linear as it is. However, some are tucked away in one corner or another and can be easy to miss, especially after killing hordes of Xenos.
To help you find every Dataslate, we’ve written down the location of each, segmented by the Missions and Planets they’re found on.

Kadaku Planet
Mission: Skyfire – 4 Dataslates
Dataslate #1
The first Dataslate is at the start of the swamp area. Walk through the wooden archway and you’ll too exploding orange flowers. Walk through them and you’ll find an area with the dataslate on the box.
Dataslate #2
Further on, you will reach a broken bridge where you’ll encounter a horde of Xenos. After defeating them, cross to the other end of the bridge. There, you’ll see a small tower. Jump Down to the left of it. You’ll find the Dataslate on the right when you’re down.
Dataslate #3
Go through the door after the room filled with dead xeno bodies and go up the stairs instead of following the objective marker leading to the turbine.
Dataslate #4
The 4th Dataslate is behind the elevator that takes you up to the satellite dish.
Mission: Inferno – 2 Dataslates
Dataslate #5
Objective: Reach the Imperial Guard Camp
The 5th Dataslate on this mission can be found right at the start. Early on, you’ll reach a crossroad with some exploding orange flowers in the middle.
Go to the right and you’ll find an open bunker. The dataslate is at the end of this bunker.
Dataslate #6
This Dataslate is on the way to the observation platform. When you reach the room with a broken bridge leading right, take the ramp up to the left and you’ll find the dataslate on a table.
Mission: Severance – 4 Dataslates
Dataslate #7
As you progress through the level, you’ll reach a small camp with a bridge. Climb up on the right and then go to the left. At the end of the path, you’ll find a bunch of xenos standing next to a destroyed tank. The Dataslate is right behind the tank.
Dataslate #8
When you enter the Adeptus Mechanicus Facility, walk up to the Red Light in the distance. The datslate will be right next to it.
Dataslate #9
As you progress through the base, you’ll come to a room with an unmarked green console. Interact with the console to open the door. After defeating the Tyranids inside, go to the left. The dataslate is at the end of the ventilation shaft.
Dataslate #10
After making it through the Mechanicus Facility, you’ll gain access to the jetpack. Afterwards, you’ll enter a cave with a ledge to the left. Using your jetpack, go up to the ledge, you will find the Dataslate there.
Avarax Planet
Mission: Machinus Divinitus – 3 Dataslates
Dataslate #11
At some point in the mission, you’ll need to wait for a bridge to extend. Once you can cross the bridge, walk to the left, outside. You’ll find the Dataslate there.
Dataslate #12
Some time after you enter the facility, you’ll see a Tyranid shadow at the end of a hallway. Turn right towards the candles, then take a left, and you’ll find the Dataslate next to a body.
Dataslate #13
After the Carnifex boss fight, you’ll reach a room with a hatch door that will open after you defeat the Xenos inside. The objective marker will direct you to the left. However, keep moving straight to the end of the corridor and you’ll find the dataslate to the right.
Mission: Ballistic Engine – 2 Dataslates
Dataslate #14
Once you reach the room with an altar. Go to the right, then to the left, and you’ll find an engine room to the right. You’ll find the Dataslate inside it, to the left.
Dataslate #15
Once you drop down into the large, destroyed train track area. You’ll find the Dataslate on the left, right between a tank and a pillar.
Mission: Servant of the Machine – 2 Dataslates
Dataslate #16
The first Dataslate is at the start of mission, right behind the elevator you ride up.
Dataslate #17
After regrouping with Chairon, you’ll find the Dataslate to the right, as go you down to the Temple of Thassean.
Mission: Decapitation – 2 Dataslates
Dataslate #18
Inside the chapel, as you progress toward the main objective, go up the stairs and through the archway up there. The Dataslate is on the left.
Dataslate #19
After you blow up the bridge and see the Hive Tyrant entering the tunnels, you’ll enter a room where the Tyrant walks alongside two large fans.You’ll find the Dataslate by going to the right instead of following the objective to the left.
Mission: Vox Liberatis – 2 Dataslates
Dataslate #20
Once you get off the elevator, and then go up the stairs to the left. Take the first left, and you’ll find the Dataslate in a reddish room.
Dataslate #21
On the lower levels of the Cathedral, before heading down blue glowing corridor with the number 1 in front of it, go to the right to find the Dataslate.
Mission: Voidsong – 3 Dataslates
Dataslate #22
Once the tank breaks through, you’ll need to restore power to the door. Follow the downstairs room to the left, and you’ll find the Dataslate.
Dataslate #23
By following the objective you’ll reach a destroyed area with burning barrels in the middle of it. Follow the path and jump using the jetpack to hop up the initial ledge on the right, above the weapon cache.
Dataslate #24
In the chamber with the burning bodies, go down the stairs towards the bodies, and take a right. You’ll find the Dataslate in the corner of the room.
Demerium Planet
Mission: Reliquary – 2 Dataslates
Dataslate #25
In the room with the large green console, go up the platform the left. You’ll find the Dataslate at the back.
Dataslate #26
During the Heldrake’s bombardment, head to the first tall checkpoint building, take a right, go through the doorway, and then look right again to find the Dataslate/
Mission: Fall of Atreus – 2 Dataslates
Dataslate #27
As you progress through the mission, you’ll drop into a room with a loadout drop. The Dataslate is in the back of that room.
Dataslate #28
When you’re climbing up the ramps in Manufactorum, take a left before the sixth ramp, when you reach the part where there are two ramps going in the same direction. You’ll find the Dataslate on some boxes.
Mission: Dawn’s Descent – 4 Dataslates
Dataslate #29
When you reach entrance of the floating Cathedral, walk to the left and then take right at the tombstones. You’ll find the Dataslate lying between some tombstones.
Dataslate #30
After the Battle Barge custscene, while advancing to the Mechanicus facility, you will reach a graveyard area. You’ll find the the second Dataslate down the stairs, following the downward hill to the left.
Dataslate #31
After destroying the eye altar, follow the objective to explore the ruins and you’ll reach a lit up area. Head towards the lit-up pillars and look to the left. You’ll find the third Dataslate on a dark, broken platform.
Dataslate #32
While advancing to Aurora you will pass through two blue illuminated pillars. The Dataslate is to the right, next to the broken down ship up front.
Mission: Bellum Sempiternus – 3 Dataslates
Dataslate #33
As you progress through the mission, you’ll jump down into a small room through doorway marked with X. The Dataslate is on the right of the exit.
Dataslate #34
While advancing to the Second Force, you’ll enter a burial chamber. Go behind the central grave, up the stairs, and then to the left to find the Dataslate.
Dataslate #35
While you advance to the Obelisk, you will reach a crystallized doorway. Walk through it and take a right around some rubble to find the final Dataslate.
