Former VALORANT world champion Gustavo “Sacy” Rossi is reportedly making his return to competitive VALORANT, but this time, he could be stepping behind the players as a head coach.

According to a new report from Sheep Esports, the Brazilian veteran is set to join South Korean esports organization T1 as its head coach for the 2027 VCT Pacific season.

The reported move would also reunite Sacy with his former Sentinels teammate Tyson “TenZ” Ngo, who is expected to return to professional VALORANT as part of T1’s revamped roster.

With TenZ, crashies, and now potentially Sacy joining the project, T1 appears to be preparing a major international roster rebuild ahead of the 2027 season.

In Brief:

  • Sacy is reportedly set to become T1’s head coach for the 2027 VCT Pacific season, according to Sheep Esports.
  • The move would reunite Sacy with TenZ, his former Sentinels teammate from the 2023 and 2024 seasons.
  • T1’s reported 2027 roster includes TenZ, crashies, and iZu, with two starting positions still undecided.
  • Sacy retired from professional VALORANT in 2024, and the T1 position would mark his first publicly known coaching role.

Sacy Reportedly Joining T1 as Head Coach for VCT 2027

T1 is reportedly looking to bring some serious championship experience into its coaching staff, with Sacy expected to take over as head coach ahead of the 2027 VCT Pacific season.

According to reports, the organization is working on an ambitious roster rebuild that includes two familiar North American VALORANT stars, TenZ and Austin “crashies” Roberts.

Sacy’s reported arrival adds another major name to the project. The Brazilian veteran is one of the most accomplished players in VALORANT history, having won VALORANT Champions 2022 with LOUD and Masters Madrid 2024 with Sentinels.

However, this would be a completely new challenge for the former professional player.

Sacy stepped away from competitive VALORANT after the 2024 season to focus on content creation. Although he has years of experience playing at the highest level, he has never publicly held a professional head coaching position.

His potential appointment would mark his first major move into coaching, putting him in charge of a T1 lineup featuring both Korean and international talent.

For now, neither T1 nor Sacy has officially confirmed the reported appointment.

Sacy and TenZ Set for Sentinels Reunion at T1

One of the most exciting parts of this reported move is the potential reunion between Sacy and TenZ.

The two spent two seasons together on Sentinels between 2023 and 2024, experiencing both the team’s struggles and its eventual return to international success.

Sacy joined Sentinels ahead of the 2023 VCT season alongside his former LOUD teammate Bryan “pANcada” Luna.

The move brought two reigning world champions into a roster featuring TenZ, creating enormous expectations around the organization.

Unfortunately, things didn’t go according to plan during their first year together. Sentinels struggled throughout the 2023 season and failed to qualify for the major international tournaments.

However, the team turned things around in 2024.

With Sacy and TenZ playing important roles, Sentinels won Masters Madrid 2024, defeating Gen.G in the grand final to secure the organization’s second international Masters title.

The team later reached the top four at VALORANT Champions Seoul 2024, completing an impressive comeback season.

Both players eventually stepped away from full-time professional competition following the 2024 season.

Now, nearly two years later, the pair could reunite under T1’s banner, although their roles would be different this time.

TenZ is reportedly preparing to return as an active player, while Sacy would be responsible for leading the team as head coach.

Given their experience together at Sentinels, the reunion could provide T1 with some valuable familiarity as it builds a roster featuring players from different regions.

Sacy’s VALORANT Career: From LOUD World Champion to T1 Coach

Before becoming one of Sentinels’ most recognizable players, Sacy had already established himself as a major figure in Brazilian VALORANT.

He was active during the game’s early competitive years, qualifying for Masters Reykjavรญk and the inaugural VALORANT Champions tournament in 2021.

However, his biggest breakthrough came in 2022 when he joined LOUD.

Alongside players such as aspas, Less, Saadhak, and pANcada, Sacy helped turn LOUD into one of the strongest teams in the world.

The Brazilian roster finished second at Masters Reykjavรญk 2022 before winning VALORANT Champions Istanbul later that year.

That victory made LOUD the first Brazilian organization to win a VALORANT world championship.

Following the team’s success, Sacy and pANcada moved to Sentinels for the 2023 season.

While their first year in North America was difficult, Sacy eventually added another major international trophy to his collection when Sentinels won Masters Madrid in 2024.

After retiring from professional play later that year, he transitioned into content creation.

Now, his reported move to T1 could open another chapter in his esports career, this time focusing on developing players, building strategies, and leading a championship-caliber roster.

T1 VALORANT 2027 Roster: TenZ, crashies, iZu, and Sacy

T1 is undergoing significant changes ahead of the 2027 VCT Pacific season.

According to the latest reports, the organization is preparing to build around TenZ, crashies, and Korean player Ham “iZu” Woo-Joo.

The reported lineup currently looks like this:

Note: TenZ, crashies, and Sacy are reported additions rather than officially confirmed signings.

The report also mentions that T1 is still negotiating with Yu “BuZz” Byung-chul and Kim “stax” Gu-taek, with the organization reportedly interested in keeping both players for 2027.

Meanwhile, T1 has moved on from several members of its previous lineup, including Munchkin, Meteor, and DH.

The roster rebuild represents a significant change in direction for T1, which has primarily fielded Korean players in recent years.

Under the 2027 roster rules, T1 must maintain at least three South Korean players in its active lineup, meaning the organization will need to balance its international additions with its domestic talent.

With TenZ and crashies reportedly occupying the two international player positions, the remaining starting spots would need to be filled by eligible Korean players.

Can Sacy Lead T1 to Another International VALORANT Championship?

T1 has already enjoyed success on the international stage, most notably winning Masters Bangkok in 2025.

However, the organization appears eager to refresh its lineup and build something new for the upcoming VCT season.

Bringing in Sacy could give the team an experienced leader who understands the demands of competing at the highest level.

His experience winning championships with two different organizations could prove valuable, especially if T1 moves forward with an international roster.

There will also be challenges. Sacy would be entering his first professional coaching role, while the roster would need to establish chemistry and communication between Korean and English-speaking players.

Still, a potential coaching staff led by Sacy, combined with experienced players like TenZ and crashies, makes T1 one of the more interesting teams to watch heading into 2027.

The reported move remains unconfirmed, and T1 has yet to officially reveal its complete roster or coaching staff.

If everything goes according to the reported plans, though, VALORANT fans could see the Sacy and TenZ duo back together when the 2027 VCT Pacific season begins.
