Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 takes you in an all-out holy war against monsters, aliens, and heretics to purge them with giant guns and chainswords. The game offers multiple classes to do so with maximum violence. All the classes in Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 have equipable weapons, special abilities, perks, and playstyles to make destroying hordes with each of them unique and extremely enjoyable.

Space Marine 2 Classes

Tactical

Class Perk: Auspex Scan – Scans and marks revealed enemies in the selected area for 8 seconds.

Usable Weapons: Auto Bolt Rifle, Bolt Carbine, Bolt Pistol, Bolt Rifle, Chainsword, Heavy Bolt Rifle, Melta Rifle, Plasma Incinerator, Stalker Bolt Rifle

Tactical is the balanced class in the game. Tactical gives you a lot of options to fight. Although, not focused on any specific weapon types. You can use light, and heavy weapons as well as a melee with the signature chain sword.

Assault

Class Perk: Jump Pack – A mini jet-pack that lets you make high jumps and dashes to move in/out of battle and combine with attacks.

Usable Weapons: Bolt Pistol, Chainsword, Heavy Bolt Pistol, Power Fist, Thunder Hammer

The Assault class focuses on quick movement and agile close combat with powerful melee attacks and pistols. The Jump Pack aids in quick movement and agility.

Vanguard

Class Perk: Grapnel Launcher – Shoots a grappling hook that attaches to enemies to attack them or cover distances quickly.

Usable Weapons: Bolt Pistol, Chainsword, Combat Knife, Instigator Bolt Carbine, Melta Rifle, Occulus Bolt Carbine.

The Vanguard is a mix of melee and ranged combat using a selection of rifles such as the Melta Rifle or Bolt Carbines. Furthermore, making good use of the Grapnel Launcher will let you quickly get close to mowing down enemies with the Chainsword and Combat Knife and again step back to pick them off with rifles.

Bulwark

Class Perk: Chapter Banner – Places a banner that recovers the Armour of the whole squad within the area.

Usable Weapons: Bolt Pistol, Chainsword, Plasma Pistol, Power Fist, Power Sword

As the name suggests, the Bulwark class is the tank/shield class that is responsible for shielding your squad mates and pushing through enemy lines with their shielding-focused abilities.

Sniper

Class Perk: Camo Cloak – Grants invisibility until the next attack.

Usable Weapons: Bolt Carbine, Bolt Pistol, Bolt Sniper Rifle, Combat Knife, Las Fusil, Stalker Bolt Rifle

The marksman class, Sniper is the way to go if you love shooting heads off from afar with stealth and style. Although you can use other weapons as well, the snipers are the best ones here.

Heavy

Class Perk: Iron Halo – Deploys a barrier to block incoming Ranged Damage.

Usable Weapons: Heavy Bolter, Bolt Pistol, Multi-Melta, Plasma Pistol, Heavy Plasma Incinerator

Heavy is another tank class that wields all the big guns to melt and blast away enemies of all sizes. The tank is a slow, destructive class that can both hold the line or clear the path for your squad to push while protecting them with the Iron Halo shield, or even go head-to-head with the big ones.
