Following HisWattson’s unexpected retirement, Albralelie has joined FURIA to compete in the Last Chance Qualifiers to reach ALGS Championship.

Although FURIA finished second in the ALGS 2022 Championship, they had trouble keeping up with other teams in the ALGS 2023 campaign. Off by only 9 points, this popular NA team lost out on the chance to compete in the ALGS 2023 Split 1 Playoffs. However, with HisWattson, Xera, and Pandxrz, FURIA had a fantastic recovery in the ALGS 2023 Split 2 Pro League and easily advanced to the Split 2 Playoffs.

Yet, FURIA’s Split 2 Playoffs run was disheartening for the fans. The team placed 37th/40th in the overall Group Stage standing and was sent to the Loser’s Bracket. There in Round 1, FURIA only got a total of 14 points in 6 matches and was eliminated from the ALGS 2023 Split 2 Playoffs. Following the poor performance, FURIA’s IGL, HisWattson, announced his retirement from playing competitively.

Albralelie Joins FURIA as the Third Player

Former TSM star Mac “Albralelie” Beckwith had been struggling to find a proper team for a while now. Despite being one of the greatest Apex players in the world, Albralelie was not finding a suitable team where he could compete in the highest level of Apex Legends competitive scene.

Albralelie tried several teams after leaving TSM. His last shot with the LANimals team consisting of him, Lou, and Naughty, was also a fail. After multiple failed attempts, Albralelie made the decision to join a legitimate team with an organization rather than try his luck again. And it looks like he has finally found the right team for him.

This is the first team Albralelie mentioned he has joined since TSM. In order to secure a spot in the Championship, Albralelie is extremely motivated this time and plans to put everything she has into the ALGS 2023 Last Chance Qualifiers

As HisWattson was previously the IGL for FURIA, there has to be a new IGL for the team. So, the team has decided that Pandxrz and Albralelie will Co-IGL and see if it works for them. The LCQ goes live in 3 days. Hopefully, we’ll be able to see a revamped FURIA in action.
