Apex Legends season 5’s limited-time event rumored to be called “Treasure Hunter” could be centered around Crypto.
A new leak has surfaced just right after Respawn teased us with the binary-encoded messages on the kill leaderboards. The binary that was teased in the maps was “1001001 1100110 1110101 1100011 1100001 1101110 1110011 1100101 1100101 1101101 1100101 1001001 1100011 1100001 1101110” which directly translates to “IfucanseemeIcan“.
After decoding this binary message it read as “If u can see me, I can“. If you ever played Crypto in Apex Legends you are already pretty familiar with who this line directly corresponds to. Judging by all the new leaks, it is pretty clear that Crypto might be the next in line to get his town takeover event.
Like with previous town takeover events with Wraith, Octane, Bloodhound, Mirage, etc, Crypto will most likely have a town themed after him. And also just like with previous events, limited-time game modes are also rumored to be available with the release of Treasure Hunter.
The bunker has a date now
The previous leak that suggested the bunkers will be opening one after another in a timely fashion is coming to reality. Seems like the leaks are pretty strongly suggesting that the upcoming event will feature these bunkers pretty heavily. Additionally, these bunkers will also have legendary loots that will obviously attract hot drop squads.
While Respawn hasn’t made any official announcements yet, data miners are pretty confident about their predictions at this point. Reliable Apex data miners like Biast12 and Shrugtal both confirmed this theory that Crypto is the next one that will get the special treatment from Respawn.

However, will this new event also come with some kind of buff or rework for Crypto is still pretty uncertain. Although a dev did confirm that they are working on something. Crypto mains are already getting pretty ecstatic about the possibility of a Crypto themed event.
