Modern Warfare 3’s release has been announced. However, Xbox One users are uncertain regarding the game’s release for this specific version of the console.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 is the sequel to 2022’s Modern Warfare 2. The game will feature the continuation of the MW saga. Furthermore, the game will also feature a dedicated multiplayer game mode and complete integration into Warzone 2.0.
Like its predecessor, the game is being developed on the new IW engine. The engine has introduced new graphical advancements, sometimes too heavy for last-gen consoles like the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
MW2 did receive a full release for the last-gen consoles. However, CoD player TheGhostOfHope noticed that the game did not mention the last-gen Xbox One console. So, players are confused about whether the game will release on Xbox One.
Modern Warfare 3 will Release on Xbox One
After an array of Modern Warfare 3 leaks, reputed CoD leaker TheGhostofHope shared a screenshot of the game’s additional information in the Xbox Store. The additional information regarding the game showed that the game’s only platform is Xbos Series S|X.
Fortunately, Activision has confirmed that the game will be available on Xbox One and is up for pre-order. If the game does not release on the Xbox One, the current last-generation console, millions of players will be unable to play. The loss of so many players would be a thorn in the game’s side.
Moreover, it is improbable for Activision to abandon its planned cross-gen gaming model. This gaming model will be the basis for their newest COD HQ platform, all CoD games and Warzone 2.0 will remain connected as a single entity.
So, Xbox One players should remain calm, as the game is already available for pre-order on Xbox One. More intel on the game’s release will be available soon, close to the game’s beta.
