The summer 2022 playoffs were played in patches 12.14 and 12.15; the Worlds patch will be patch 12.18.
Both patches 12.17 and 12.18 will significantly impact the professional scene meta. Patch 12.17 included the more significant changes, and patch 12.18 will have minor changes, further improving the game state.
Patch 12.17 was released recently; it came with various changes. The patch included some nerfs to the recent meta picks like Ahri, Nami, Sylas, Renekton, Sivir, etc., and some needed buffs to underutilized champions such as Camille, Sett, Ezreal, Rell, etc. Patch 12.17 also included the much anticipated Miss Fortune, Hecarim, and Maokai mini-rework.
