Warzone 2.0’s Cash Economy is getting revamped. Here’s a look at the new Cash Economy of Warzone 2.0 in Season 2.
Call of Duty Warzone is a BR with everything good the arcade shooter has to offer. While most BRs are essentially the same, Warzone differentiated itself with its complex cash economy. Cash is an essential part of Warzone.
Players can get cash as ground loot, by completing contracts and from other players. The obtained cash can be used to purchase killstreaks, loadouts, gear, and equipment. However, the cash economy in Warzone 2.0 was a little harsh for most players.
Based on player feedback of the rough cash economy, Infinity Ward has decided to loosen up the cash economy, making it easier for players to obtain cash and retain cash after completing their gulag or redeploying in Al Mazrah.
New Cash Economy Explained
Warzone 2.0’s cash economy is more strict than Warzone 1’s simple cash economy. However, Infinity Ward has decided to shake things up by changing the economy.
The devs have decided to reduce cash rewards for completing contracts. This reduction in cash rewards comes from players abusing contracts to pile up cash in the early game. The abundance of cash introduced an unfair advantage in the late game as players were stacking up on killstreaks and medical supplies.
On the contrary, the ground loot cash has been increased to $800 as ground loot and $500 as cash register loot. Furthermore, cash will be available via ground loot, caches, and Stronghold supply boxes. The redistribution of cash enforces a fair ground for every player in a match.
The cash economy changes will surely rattle the meta and remove the hoarding issues most players complained about. Furthermore, the new and revived cash system will make gameplay faster as players will get their hands on a considerably high amount of cash in the early game.
