What is FOV in Warzone 2.0 and DMZ?

FOV is the abbreviation of Field of View. Although most of you already know what it is, it is better to clarify before we move forward. The field of View is the area under a specific angle your eyes can cover while in a static position.

In simple terms, FOV is how much you can see in front of you. Warzone 2.0 supports from 60 to 120 FOV. 60 means your vision will be very limited, and 120 means you’ll have an expansive vision. Additionally, the FOV affects both horizontal and vertical vision. Here is a visual representation of how 60 FOV differs from 120 FOV.

Best FOV Settings in Warzone 2.0 and DMZ

To be fair, there are no best or worst FOV settings in Warzone 2.0. FOV is something that entirely depends on your personal preference. However, there are some key notes to consider.

Typically, the higher FOV you use, the more peripheral vision you will have access to. Warzone 2.0 supports up to 120 FOV in the game. However, there’s also a catch. If you use 120 FOV in Warzone 2.0 and DMZ, you will have difficulty seeing your opponents from far away, which is a bummer.

On the other hand, using a low FOV can increase your tunnel vision and FPS by a great margin. It will also enhance your ability to fight at close range. However, you will lose a lot of horizontal and vertical vision in front of you. In Warzone 2.0 and DMZ, having the ability to see your surrounding is also very crucial. So, using 60 FOV is not optimal for Warzone 2.0 and DMZ.

In the end, you should select a FOV that will let you let you win fights in close to medium range without losing much vision of your surroundings. After playing hours of Warzone 2.0 and DMZ matches and investigating various aspects of the gameplay, we have concluded that using FOV between 85-105 will offer you maximum efficiency, and you’ll be able to win more gunfights and matches in Warzone 2.0 and DMZ.

If you are running the game on a higher-end PC in native resolution, we suggest you use a high FOV in the 95-105 range. However, if you are using a lower to medium-end PC without native resolution, in that case, we recommend you use the 85-95 FOV range, as it will increase your FPS and let you fight efficiently in different ranges.

  • Overall Best FOV Range: 85-105
  • Best FOV Range for Higher-End PCs: 95-105
  • Best FOV Range for Low to Medium-End PCs: 85-95
  • Best FOV Range for Consoles: 90-100
