Apex Legends Season 30 Split 2 is almost here, and early details suggest Respawn is preparing another round of significant balance changes. Catalyst, Conduit, and Fuse appear to be the main Legends receiving attention, while the Bocek, Charge Rifle, and Trident are also reportedly getting adjustments.
Season 30, officially known as Marked, launched on August 4 with the Bloodhound rework, weapon changes, and a major Worldโs Edge update. Respawn has since officially confirmed several of the previously leaked Split 2 changes through its Midseason Designerโs Notes, including major updates for Conduit, Fuse, and Catalyst, alongside buffs for several weapons.
In brief:
- Conduit is getting a major Energy Barricade refresh alongside two new Level 2 upgrades
- Fuse gets Knuckle Jumper and explosive resistance incorporated into his base kit
- Catalyst receives improvements to Piercing Spikes, Dark Veil, and her upgrade tree
- Triple Take, Bocek, and Charge Rifle are confirmed to receive buffs
Apex Legends Season 30 Split 2 Release Date
Apex Legends Season 30 Split 2 is expected to begin on September 15, 2026. The September 16 at 2 AM timing circulating through Japanese sources corresponds to the update arriving on September 15 in North America.
EA’s Season 30 schedule also currently has the first Split’s Mixtape rotation running through September 15.
Catalyst Buffs

Catalyst is receiving several significant changes in Split 2, including improvements to Piercing Spikes and Dark Veil.
Placing Piercing Spikes near a door will now automatically reinforce and rebuild it, while the tactical is also receiving a cooldown reduction. One major change is that Catalyst will no longer be immune to enemy Catalyst ferrofluid abilities.
Dark Veil is also being made smoother to deploy, while allies will no longer suffer negative effects when passing through the wall.
Catalystโs upgrade tree is getting a major shakeup:
- Sole Piercer is being removed
- Resilient Veil moves to Level 2 and gains Ultimate cooldown reduction
- Ferro-Door moves to Level 2 and increases the maximum number of doors Catalyst can reinforce
- Hidden Spikes moves to Level 3
- New Level 3 upgrade Ferro-Frenzy adds one extra trap and increases its tick damage rate, but makes the traps significantly smaller
Conduit Buffs

Conduitโs Energy Barricade is receiving a substantial refresh in Split 2. The Ultimate will deploy more smoothly and get Conduit back to her weapons faster, while its jammers will spawn higher and slightly closer together.
More importantly, Conduit can now toggle her Ultimate into a forward-line formation instead of only deploying the standard horizontal barricade. New targeting visuals will also help players see whether jammers would break when deployed.
Her two Level 2 Ultimate upgrades are being reworked:
- Jammed Up: Increases the jammer radius and applies a debuff that obscures information on enemy HUDs.
- Concurrency: Allows Conduit to fire her Ultimate again once within 10 seconds without triggering another cooldown. Each barricade contains two fewer jammers and uses a tighter formation.
Fuse Gets Knuckle Jumper in His Base Kit

Fuse is receiving several meaningful improvements in Split 2, with both Knuckle Jumper and Wreckless becoming part of his base kit.
Wreckless will give every Fuse explosive damage resistance by default, although Respawn says the effect is being slightly weakened. Knuckle Jumper is also becoming standard and will even work in Wildcard, but Fuse will no longer receive reduced tactical cooldown when using it to jump, and its launch strength is being slightly reduced.
The Motherlode is also being improved with:
- Faster deployment
- An adjusted firing arc focused more on close-range use
- Reduced damage falloff from the central explosion
- Faster mini-bomb explosions
Fuseโs upgrade tree is also changing. Reignition moves from Level 3 to Level 2, while two new Level 3 choices are being introduced. Big Bang increases the area covered by Knuckle Cluster explosions, while Sticky Bomb allows Knuckle Cluster to stick to enemies and grants tactical cooldown reduction.
Weapon and Trident Changes
Respawn has officially confirmed buffs for three weapons in Split 2:
- Triple Take
- Bocek Compound Bow
- Charge Rifle
The developers say Season 30 produced one of the biggest weapon meta shifts in more than a year following the Corrupted Attachments system, Energy Ammo rework, and nerfs to weapons such as the R-99, Alternator, RE-45, and Hemlok.
Because the weapon meta is still settling, Respawn is taking a relatively conservative approach to Split 2 balance changes. The Triple Take, Bocek, and Charge Rifle buffs are intended to bring them closer to other weapons in their respective classes.
Exact weapon values have not yet been revealed in the Designer’s Notes. Respawn says the complete Marked Split 2 patch notes will be released on September 14, which should provide the full numerical changes.
