Riot Games to buff Viego, Teemo, Lux, Xayah, Jinx, and Sion on League of Legends patch 11.21.
The last few patches were all about balancing the game focusing on Worlds 2021. And now that there are no pro games in the next few months, Riot is going back to the normal balance updates.
League of Legends’ Designer on the Summoner’s Rift team, Riot Phlox has now previewed the upcoming LoL patch 11.21. And it seems, similar to the last patch, they are once again focusing the game on balancing soloq.
While some “overpowered” soloq champions are getting nerfs, Riot is buffing Viego, Teemo, Lux, Xayah, Jinx, and Sion on the upcoming League of Legends patch 11.21.
Xayah and Jinx are the two ADCs who are getting buffs on the upcoming patch. While ADC champion like Miss Fortune is dominating the bot lane with an insane win rate and pick rate, a champion like Xayah is barely getting picked.
Although Xayah already received four buffs in season 11, she still has a below 50% win rate in Plat+ Elo while having just a 3.2% pick rate. Jinx’s pick rate and win rate might not be as bad as Xayah’s but she is still underperforming against some meta ADCs.
Two Top lane champions, Teemo and Sion, are also getting buffs on patch 11.21 for being pretty much “dead” for most of the season. Both of them have around a 3% pick rate while having around a 48% win rate at Top. Therefore, Riot is buffing them once again.
Ever since his release, The Ruined King has been going through multiple changes in League of Legends. But the major change was on patch 11.17, where Riot pretty much nerfed his entire kit from passive to ultimate. Just after that nerf alone, Viego went from having one of the highest ban rates to someone who now only has a 47% win rate at soloq.
Lastly, Lux is also seeing a buff on patch 11.21 as she is struggling on both support and mid-lane.
All the buffs will be available in patch 11.21 PBE for testing and full changes are scheduled to go live on Wednesday, Oct 20, 2021.
