A recent leak showed that VALORANT is developing an upcoming character, an Agent with the code name SmokeDancer.
After League of Legends’ massive success in the MOBA genre, Riot Games decided to enter the FPS market with the launch of VALORANT. Soon after its release, VALORANT instantly became popular for its unique novelty in the game.
Riot Games is well known for its marketing tactics for promoting its game to the mass audience. The company puts tremendous effort into building its games’ contents so that the players get to play the games and experience the story and its characters at the same time.
Riot Games released its 21st Agent Harbor, AKA Mage, in Episode 5 Act 3, an Agent from India with water-controlling abilities. Harbor was released in the 5.08 patch, and there are already leaks for an upcoming Agent waiting to be uncovered slowly.

New Leaked Agent: SmokeDancer
A prominent data miner in the community named ValorLeaks recently revealed there’s an upcoming Agent in the development with the codename “SmokeDancer.” However, the leaker also mentioned that it’s just a codename for an upcoming Agent for the future and not necessarily the next Agent in line.
Based on the codename, it looks like SmokeDancer will also be a Controller Agent. However, as Harbor was the last Controller Agent, it is unlikely that Riot Games would release an Agent with a similar role back to back. However, it is too early to say anything unless more leaks appear.
SmokeDancer Release Date
At this moment, there’s no information regarding this Agent except for the codename. So, the release date is still uncertain. However, we’ll be sure to update this article as soon as there are new developments.
