VALORANT’s 20th Agent named Fade, who has been a mystery in the past couple of days, has finally been revealed.
After League of Legends’ massive success in the MOBA genre, Riot Games decided to enter the FPS market with the launch of VALORANT. Soon after the release, VALORANT instantly became popular for its unique novelty in the game.
Riot Games is well known for its marketing tactics for promoting its game to the mass audience. The company puts tremendous effort into building its games’ contents so that the players not only get to play the games but also get to actually experience the story and its characters.
VALORANT is such a game where Riot Games takes its sweet time to construct its Agents, Maps, Abilities, and the stories. So far, VALORANT has released 18 Agents, with Neon being the latest of them. As per the news, Fade is going to be the newest of the bunch, but she is going to be the 20th Agent in the game as the 19th character, Agent 8, still remains a mystery.

Fade Revealed
Though there had been leaks and rumors about how Fade would actually look, she was kept a mystery up until now. A content creator named ChowZ has finally revealed what Fade will look like. These pictures are taken from the cinematic trailer that is supposed to be released on 25th April.
At first sight, Fade seems like a fearless mercenary that rivals Reyna’s scary look. She has a dark gothic theme with tattoos on her fists, piercing below her lips, and a huge scar on her nose. She also has a black and grey hair combination, which creates suspense about her actual age.
If you look closely, you can see that she has Heterochromia, meaning she has two different eye colors, blue and yellow. In the first picture, she is holding a shadow-looking creature which may be one of her abilities, called Prowler.
Fade Abilities
This agent will be an Initiator, according to Riot Games.
- PROWLER (C): EQUIP. FIRE to send a creature out which will travel in a straight line looking for enemies AND/OR Trails. HOLD FIRE AND MOVE MOUSE to steer the creature in the direction you are facing. When the creature finds a trail or enemy, it will move towards them. Upon reaching the enemy, it will start a .5s cooktime and then NEARSIGHT the closest enemy for 3s. Only one Creature can latch onto a TRAIL ever.
- SEIZE (Q): Equip an orb. FIRE to throw the orb. The orb will travel in the air a max time of 1.5s until dropping to the ground. Upon hitting the ground, it will stick in place and being to cook for .5s. After .5s a zone will expand out to 7m and all enemies caught will be tethered to the center. Tethered enemies suffer 75 decay damage, are deafened, and cannot escape the zone by normal means for 5s. Can be reactivated in flight to drop earlier.
- HAUNT (E): Equip an orb. Fire to throw the orb. The orb will travel in the air a max time of 1.5s until dropping to the ground. Once it hits the ground, It raises back up and turns into an Eye that can be destroyed. Equip this ability, fire to send out a wave of dark mist. If the mist comes in contact with an enemy they will be TRAILED, DEAF, and DECAYED for 12s.
- NIGHTFALL (X): Equip this ability, FIRE to send out a wave of dark mist. If the mist comes in contact with an enemy, they will be TRAILED, DEAF, and DECAYED for 12s.

Fade Nationality
As suggested in the teasers, Cypher has already found the origin of Fade. He decrypted the blackmailer’s messages and found out that the message was sent from somewhere in Turkey. So it is likely that the 20th Agent will be from Turkey.
Fade Voice Actress
Fade’s voice actress is from Istanbul, Turkey and her name is Selin Çuhadaroğlu. She Studied Film/Media Production at Pepperdine University, California.
Fade Release Date
According to Riot Games, the next agent will join the current roster with Episode 4 Act 3, and according to ValorIntel, she will most likely be revealed on April 24, at ValorantMasters Final and she will be released on April 27, 2022.
